"You're staying behind alone?" Ranwu came over and asked quietly, looking uneasy.
"Yes. If it's just going to Tanzaku Town or Shukuba Town to receive and deliver codes, you and Akaseki won't have any trouble," Minato said with a nod.
Next, they would have to take the scroll to Tanzaku Town, wait on the clock tower until midnight, and meet the team delivering the code.
"We'll be fine, of course. The problem is leaving you here alone in the Valley of the End—" Ranwu was clearly worried about Minato.
But Akaseki spoke up. "Splitting up is fine—it's just that open fighting isn't likely in Tanzaku Town or Shukuba Town, and genjutsu is most useful there. I can go alone!"
Akaseki wanted both Ranwu and Minato to stay. After all, the Valley of the End was out in the wilderness, where the fighting was fiercest.
"No. Ranwu is strong, but don't forget I'm a sensory ninja. If I detect an opponent I can't handle, I simply won't provoke them." Minato shook his head.
Ranwu thought for a moment, then looked at Akaseki. "All right, then I'll go with Akaseki—there will be ambushes along the road too, and this way I can keep him from doing anything stupid!"
"What do you mean, stupid? I—" Akaseki was about to argue.
"Right, let's agree on a password for when you return to the Valley of the End," Minato interrupted.
Minato would stay in the Valley of the End to enjoy the fighting, while Akaseki and Ranwu mainly completed their team's missions. Sooner or later, though, they would draw another mission for the Valley of the End, and naturally they would regroup then.
Before they split up—
"What are the two codes you have?" Akaseki asked bluntly.
The fat Grass Ninja hurriedly spilled everything.
