Background / History

Porter Leo, Laun's longtime friend, recommended him as a mentor when Lin Tian declined enrollment at the Royal Magic Academy. Porter described Laun as a Fire Saint Magus with extensive expertise, a kind nature, and an unconventional teaching style. Laun accepted Lin Tian as his disciple at his volcanic Magic Tower residence. 4

Laun began Lin Tian's formal fire-magic education by explaining that mana and mental strength—not incantations—are the foundations of spellcasting. He demonstrated instant casting and introduced the destructive potential and risks of the forbidden spells Skyfire Blaze and Earthfire Burn City. 5
