Little Chen finally woke up slowly. The moment he opened his eyes, he smelled disinfectant and medicine.
Then, he realized he was lying on a bed in the infirmary, with an IV drip attached to his hand.
"You're awake?"
A nurse had been organizing medicine nearby. When she turned around, she saw that he was awake.
"Why am I here?"
"You were attacked by a Weird."
"I was attacked by a Weird?"
Little Chen looked utterly confused, his mind still not processing it. When he moved slightly, he pulled at the wound on his abdomen.
"I'm injured?"
What surprised him even more was that the stabbing pain came from the exact same spot he had felt in his dream.

Little Chen's teammates were quickly notified and rushed over.
"Little Chen, how are you?"
"You nearly scared us to death."
Little Chen asked, "How did you find out something had happened to me?"
"I smelled blood."
A teammate whose ability enhanced his sense of smell said so.
"I sensed danger approaching, but I didn't know who was in trouble, so I could only knock on the doors one by one."
The two of them had both noticed something unusual. Everyone became tense and began calling out for people everywhere.
The commotion was so great that nearly every member of the law enforcement team who had gone to sleep
