If they could draw the Returning Ruins Godfiend into their own faction, they could eliminate the other and send that damned, detestable, opposing Godfiend back to the Great Dao!

Destruction Godfiend was delighted upon hearing this. That damned Creation Godfiend had just beaten him to the invitation, but now that he saw Creation being rebuffed, he hurriedly said, "Dao Friend, my name is Destruction Godfiend. My Great Dao opposes that of Creation Godfiend. If you help me send Creation back to the Great Dao, you may roam freely throughout Chaos!"

Though he was called Destruction, he knew that he could not kill another Great Dao Godfiend. It was not only that he could not kill other Great Dao Godfiends—other Great Dao Godfiends could not kill him either.

Great Dao Godfiends were undying and indestructible. At most, they could suffer irreparable injuries and return to the Great Dao. Yet after being nurtured for countless years, they would sooner or later return.

Unless that Great Dao itself was erased, a Great Dao Godfiend could never perish.

Thus, Destruction Godfiend merely wished to destroy everything that was not a Great Dao Godfiend, rather than destroy Great Dao Godfiends themselves. Of course, the Godfiend called Creation was someone he absolutely had to send back to the Great Dao!

Returning Ruins Godfiend likewise politely rejected Destruction Godfiend's proposal. He knew that whichever side he joined at this moment would win completely, while all the Great Dao Godfiends in the opposing faction would return to the Great Dao.

Therefore, since he had been born between Creation Godfiend and Destruction Godfiend, he felt that he should naturally stand on the neutral side, lest either faction vanish entirely.

Though Creation Godfiend had no intention of dominating Chaos, Destruction Godfiend did. Great Daos similar to Destruction Godfiend's were naturally his allies, such as Silent Extinction Godfiend, Death Godfiend, Demonic Path Godfiend, and so on.

Creation Godfiend naturally also had Great Daos inherently similar to his, such as Good Fortune Godfiend, Life Godfiend, Immortal Path Godfiend, and so on.

The alliances and hostilities between the two sides were formed because their Great Daos were similar or opposed.

Only Great Dao Godfiends like him, whose Great Daos had neither enemies nor kindred counterparts, could cast aside factional conflict. What he needed to do was balance both sides' strength so that every Dao Friend could be born.

Destruction Godfiend merely snorted coldly and disappeared.

He knew that the World-Creating Azure Lotus existed within Chaos. It was precisely because of that Ultimate Treasure that he had fallen slightly behind in the Great Dao Contention, so he too went in search of his Great Dao Supreme Treasure.

One is the Hawk Faction, led by Destruction Godfiend and centered on slaughter; another is the Dove Faction, led by Creation Godfiend and centered on peace.
