Zhou Ze hurriedly pushed Janet away. As he did, he couldn't help feeling a little regretful.

"I'm retired now. I don't teach classes anymore..." Zhou Ze said with an amused smile. "You got me to guide you once, thanks to Luo Feng. Wasn't that enough?"

"Please..."

Janet stepped closer and wrapped both arms around Zhou Ze's right arm, her voice making his scalp tingle.

"Fine. Since you gave me the Water of Life, I can guide you a few times while you're here." Zhou Ze discreetly pulled his arm free from the ample fruits of her feminine charms.

Women should only be an embellishment. Otherwise, they'd slow down his blade.

The Elite Training Camp.

Candice had just come out of the Trial Room. His expression was cold, and his face betrayed nothing. His lackey William, however, greeted him with a grin.

"Congratulations, Candice. Your life-or-death adventure made you even stronger. There's a great chance you'll break into the top thirty in the rankings this time."

"Mm." Candice glanced coolly at William, his face pale as a vampire's, without showing the slightest hint of joy.

"Candice, I know you're upset, but Luo Feng just got lucky. He probably found some rare natural treasure. How else could he have become an Invincible War God so quickly?" William sounded indignant.

"Luck is part of strength." Candice said no more. He didn't think he could never catch up to Luo Feng.

William caught up with him. "Did you hear? Word is, as soon as Janet got back, she headed to Luo Feng's hometown, Jiangnan Base City."

"Mm." Candice gave a cool nod.

Luo Feng had put things in perspective for him. He no longer cared about some arranged marriage or even becoming the head of the Porenas Family. If he was strong enough, like Luo Feng, then power, status, and beautiful women would all be within reach.

Those things were merely by-products of strength. Candice didn't think he lacked the potential. If Luo Feng could do it, so could he!

Seeing that Candice wasn't interested, William pressed on. "I heard Janet went to see Luo Feng and asked him to introduce her to his teacher. Now she's training with his teacher every day. It seems she's even staying at his place."

William grew more animated as he went on. "I suspect Janet's been PUA'd. How could a mid-level Warrior, a cripple no less, possibly help her?"

"Luo Feng only got where he is because of his own talent. What does his teacher have to do with it? Everyone knows that a warrior relies on himself, not on how powerful his teacher is. No one can turn trash into treasure. At most, a teacher can provide some resources."

Candice furrowed his brow but said nothing. Still, he thought William had a point: warriors could only ever rely on themselves. Everyone else was just there to support them.

Luo Feng had become an Invincible War God because he was talented and worked hard. His trip to Australia had just been a matter of good luck. What did anyone else have to do with it?

Before long, Janet finished her routine and stopped. Her jewel-like eyes shone with hope as she looked at Zhou Ze.

"Teacher Zhou, how was that?"

Zhou Ze came back to his senses. "So-so..."

"But I thought I did it really well..." Janet pouted.

"I don't care what you think. I care what I think." Zhou Ze genuinely wasn't trying to PUA her. "You're dancing for me, not practicing a warrior's technique.
