Blood God Axe

Gulanxiu had 1,100 points. That was neither a lot nor a little. It wouldn't be enough to buy powerful natural treasures or secret manuals created by super powerhouses.

But if he was only buying ordinary equipment, it was more than enough.

Gulanxiu soon began browsing the equipment section.

One had to understand that anyone who fully mastered the sixth strike of the Giant Axe Chaos Tablet would have Law Comprehension nearly equivalent to that of a King who had reached the Eighteenth Floor of Sky Bridge.

In other words, the Blood God Axe would serve Gulanxiu all the way to Peak Marquis. It was practically the finest mass-produced weapon in the Human Race.

The reason was that so many Human Race powerhouses cultivated the Giant Axe Chaos Tablet and needed axe-type weapons, prompting master weapon smiths to develop the Blood God Axe.

After all, the ninth level of the Yan Shen Armament, one of the Nine Divine Weapons of the Controller, was called Immortal Can Also Be Matched. Even at its strongest, it only required comprehension barely sufficient for the Marquis level. The Blood God Axe could be used up to the King level, so it was understandable that it cost more.

And even so, Gulanxiu thought it was cheap! An ordinary Immortal had a net worth of nearly ten thousand Hunyuan Units, enough to buy around a hundred Blood God Axes.

So Gulanxiu paid without hesitation, using Hunyuan Units first. Although one Hunyuan Unit could be exchanged for one point, he had no way to do that! Sometimes, something that could be bought with points couldn't be bought with Hunyuan Units.

After buying the Blood God Axe and Force Battle Suit, Gulanxiu had 1,099 points left, while his Hunyuan Units had once again dropped to zero.

After that, Gulanxiu started looking at spaceships. Hunting Chaos Beasts was dangerous, and if he couldn't defeat one, he would have to flee. He therefore needed a decent spaceship.

He couldn't afford an F-class pure-metal spaceship, so he could only look at E-class ones.

E9-Class Spaceships cost anywhere from 100 to 3,000 Hunyuan Units. The Mechanical Race spaceship Luo Feng obtained in the original story, for instance, was a high-end model worth 2,000 Hunyuan Units. Gulanxiu couldn't afford anything like that, so he eventually chose a dark-blue, triangular spaceship.

The spaceship was about a hundred meters long and made entirely of E9-Class Alloy, Deep Blue Steel. It was equipped with two E9-Class Laser Cannons and a Star Destroyer Cannon. That was a decent setup for an E9-Class Spaceship, but it still cost Gulanxiu 350 points.

Of course, it couldn't compare with the Mechanical Race spaceship on Earth in the original story, but it was more than enough for Gulanxiu at his current stage.

Gulanxiu didn't plan to buy anything else. If the Axe Fighting Arena's system for nurturing geniuses was like the Virtual Universe Company's in the original story, then after his time in Chaos City ended, he would need to venture into the various Secret Realms. He could buy and prepare whatever he needed for each world then.

He couldn't help marveling at the delivery speed in the Swallowed Star World. In just one day, Gulanxiu received the weapon and Force Battle Suit he had ordered.

There wasn't much to say about the Force Battle Suit. Once it covered his body, attacks from anyone below the Realm Lord Level couldn't break through it. Of course, given Gulanxiu's Cosmic Level cultivation, a Domain Lord-level powerhouse could still shake him to death.

The Blood God Axe, however, pleasantly surprised Gulanxiu with its power. It was a single-edged giant axe three meters tall, with a strikingly imposing shape and strange runes all over it. Just looking at it stirred one's blood. Its blade, in particular, seemed hazy, with a faint shadow flickering across it, as if it were nothing more than an illusion.

With a casual swing, Gulanxiu could feel the axe's sharpness and power. The Blood God Axe had increased his attack power by at least a factor of two.

After familiarizing himself with it, Gulanxiu's spaceship arrived as well. After trying out the controls a few times, he set off for the outskirts with his new equipment to hunt Chaos Beasts.

Chaos Beasts were lifeforms unique to the Initial Universe. When killed, they left behind pale-green Chaos True Spirits for cultivators to absorb. Absorbing a Chaos True Spirit transformed a cultivator's soul and improved their talent. They were one of the Three Treasures of Chaos City.

Chaos Beasts came in Cosmic, Domain Lord, and Realm Lord levels, and the Human Race kept them separated in different areas.

Gulanxiu's target was a Cosmic-level Chaos Beast...

In a lush forest, Gulanxiu advanced cautiously, focusing on his surroundings. Chaos Beasts weren't very intelligent, but they had the instincts of wild animals and knew how to lie in wait and ambush. Gulanxiu had to be careful; it wasn't always clear who was the hunter and who was the prey.

Suddenly, Gulanxiu spotted a three-meter-long, earth-yellow Lizard crouched on a giant tree not far ahead. It was perfectly still, almost blending into the tree.

It gave off no aura at all, making it difficult to spot.

If Gulanxiu hadn't happened to see its eyeball move, he might have overlooked it entirely.

That one! Gulanxiu thought.

Gulanxiu had been in the area where Cosmic-level Chaos Beasts lived for half a day. He had seen quite a few, but most lived in groups. This was the first time he had encountered a solitary one like this Lizard.

With a thought, his pale-blue Force Battle Suit flowed over his body like water. At the same time, he gripped the Blood God Axe, slowly raised it, and began approaching the Lizard.

When Gulanxiu came within twenty meters, the Lizard seemed to sense something. A flicker of wariness appeared in its eyes as it looked around.

Gulanxiu knew he couldn't wait any longer. He dashed forward, raised the giant axe, and unleashed the first strike with all his strength, bringing it down on the Lizard.
