The long-haired Realm Lord Morrison said excitedly, "Thank you, Master!"
The Blood-Robed Elder smiled and said, "Discovering this treasure is a great merit. All of this is what you deserve."
As he spoke, the Blood-Robed Elder also separated a strand of divine power, preparing to imprint it onto the Green Lotus!
"Eh!" The elder let out a surprised exclamation. He discovered to his astonishment that his divine power imprint could not be branded onto the Green Lotus, yet he found no other divine power imprints on it either.
"Could there be special requirements for claiming ownership?" the elder mused silently.
Since he couldn't claim it for now, he decided to take it away first, lest it attract other experts from the Immortal Temple. Since he had discovered this treasure first, it was his.
With that, he waved his hand to store the treasure into his World Ring, but to his embarrassment, the Green Lotus remained utterly motionless.
Helpless, he could only approach the Green Lotus, grab the tips of its closed petals, and shout, "Rise!"
As his voice fell, a rumbling sound echoed, and the ground where the Green Lotus sat trembled as if struck by an earthquake!
The Green Lotus was actually lifted from the earth by his sheer strength.
The elder sighed, "Such a heavy treasure. Without the power of an Elder, it would be hard to move. But carrying it back to the Immortal Temple like this is far too conspicuous. Am I to let the other Elders get a share?"
The elder was now in a bind. Though he ranked fifth among the twelve Elders of the Immortal Temple, aside from the Great Elder, the gap between the other eleven Elders was not significant—only their methods differed.
If he obtained this treasure, he could overpower the other ten Elders, stand on equal footing with the Great Elder, and perhaps even surpass him. Naturally, he didn't want the treasure to fall into the hands of other Elders.
But the treasure was far too conspicuous. The ten-thousand-meter green light shone like a giant lamp wherever it was placed, and it couldn't be stored in a spatial ring. Sooner or later, it would be exposed.
Thinking this, the elder set the Green Lotus down again. He traced something in the void with his hands and muttered, "Open!"
A hundred-meter-wide rift appeared in the void before him, revealing a continent spanning tens of thousands of kilometers. On this continent lived many humans, whose appearance and clothing styles were nearly identical to those on the Bloodfall Continent.
At the center of the continent stood a majestic palace, inside which was a towering statue bearing the elder's likeness. This was the elder's Divine Kingdom.
Normally, an Immortal God's Divine Kingdom ranged from one million to one billion kilometers. With the elder's peak Marquis-level strength, his Divine Kingdom should not have been this small—even a hundred million kilometers would have been normal.
Unfortunately, the elder was born on the Bloodfall Continent. The Virtual Universe Company's blockade of Bloodfall Continent was not limited to the Sky Erosion Palace outside. To prevent these Immortal Gods from escaping through spatial layers, the entire Bloodfall Continent was sealed by a Space Seal.
Normally, upon breaking through to Immortality, one would enter the spatial turbulence to find a fragment of space as a carrier for their Divine Kingdom. The larger the fragment, the stronger the Divine Kingdom it could support.
But due to the spatial blockade, the Immortal Gods of Bloodfall Continent could only enter the surface layer of spatial turbulence, unable to reach the Divine Kingdom layer. Naturally, they couldn't find large spatial fragments to carry their Divine Kingdoms, and had to make do with fragments of tens of thousands of kilometers!
The elder once again picked up the hundred-meter Green Lotus and forcefully pushed it into his Divine Kingdom. As soon as it entered, he felt a lightness in his body.
Within his own Divine Kingdom, his strength was enhanced, making it less strenuous to move the hundred-meter Green Lotus.
He quickly pushed the Green Lotus to the top of the palace at the continent's center and shoved it into a thousand-meter-tall side hall. Then he smiled and said, "Since I can't claim it now, I'll put it in the treasure vault for now. I'll study it slowly later! For now, let's deal with the trouble outside!"
With that, he flashed out of his Divine Kingdom and returned to the Ancient God Ruins.
The long-haired Realm Lord Morrison saw the elder appear and quickly said respectfully, "Congratulations, Master, on obtaining the treasure!"
The elder smiled and nodded, "You did well, Morrison. But knowing too much is bad for you!"
As he spoke, Morrison's expression turned to shock and disbelief. The elder struck out with a single punch, killing Morrison on the spot.
Then, looking at the blood mist that was once Morrison, the elder muttered to himself, "Good child! Don't blame your master! This matter cannot be known to the other Elders. I must eliminate any factor that could expose it! Not just you, but also the cultivators nearby. Even if they don't know, being near this place is a crime!"
With that, the elder's figure flickered and vanished from the spot, beginning a brutal massacre in the vicinity. The cultivators nearby were unfortunate—under the pursuit of a Marquis-level Immortal skilled in Teleportation, none within a million-li radius could escape!
After finishing this, the elder's figure flickered again, teleporting away. A few more teleports later, he returned to the Immortal Temple!
Three days later, the ten-thousand-meter radiance of the Green Lotus slowly contracted and gradually disappeared.
By then, Gulanxiu had awakened. Unfamiliar with his surroundings, he dared not step out of the Green Lotus and instead began sensing his own condition.
Gulanxiu now felt clear-headed and full of boundless strength. He also discovered that his Heavenly Eye's range had expanded tenfold, reaching a hundred thousand meters, and his genetic level had improved.
"A hundredfold! My genetic level has reached the hundredfold limit. Unfortunately, I still couldn't break through the limit. Previously, each increase was fivefold; this time, it was only fourfold!" Gulanxiu muttered to himself with slight regret.
"But my comprehension has improved again. My clarity in sensing the Laws has taken a huge leap. I'm probably not far behind the geniuses born once in ten million epochs!" Gulanxiu said excitedly.
Based on his own estimates, his original talent was likely at the level of the Fourth or Third Secret Realm. After hunting Chaos Beasts in Chaos City, he improved to about the level of a genius born once in an epoch, with talent and comprehension considered decent even in the Axe Secret Realm.
After his first enhancement in the Bloodfall World, he was roughly on par with a genius born once in ten thousand epochs, comparable to Bolan from the original story. After a hundred years of bitter cultivation, he could probably pass the seventh floor of the Sky Bridge. After another eight hundred years of training, he was now likely at the ninth-floor level.
With this latest talent boost, he was probably the strongest genius of the Human Race born once in ten million epochs, rivaling legendary geniuses like Kedi and Erosion Fire mentioned in the original story. If he cultivated for another thousand years, he could likely pass the Cosmic Level Sky Mountain. Of course, Gulanxiu had no intention of staying at the Cosmic Level for a thousand years. Once he left and completed the Dragon Tower Star dragon-hunting mission, he planned to break through!
