The Twelve Elders

The old man wanted to focus on his cultivation, but Gulanxiu naturally wasn't going to let him have his way. Now that he had entered Green Lotus, the old man was like a frog at the bottom of a well, or a turtle trapped in a jar. His life and death were in Gulanxiu's hands!

With a thought from Gulanxiu, countless root-like vines rose within Lotus Platform Space and quickly wrapped around the old man.

The old man struggled with all his might, but the roots were incredibly tough. Even burning his divine power, he couldn't break free!

The old man roared, "You villain! Come out if you've got the guts! These little tricks can't hurt me. What can they do besides disgust me?"

"Who says I can't hurt you?" Gulanxiu's voice echoed through the space.

As soon as Gulanxiu finished speaking, rows of spikes suddenly sprouted from the roots and plunged into the old man.

The old man immediately felt his divine power draining through the spikes. In just a few seconds, he lost one percent. And after burning his divine power twice in quick succession, he now had only ninety-six percent remaining.

The old man panicked and hurriedly said, "Sir! Please spare me! I'll agree to anything you want!"

Gulanxiu laughed. "Ha ha! You're certainly a realist! You've stopped calling me a villain and started calling me 'sir' instead! But it's too late. If you can produce ten billion Bloodfall Crystals, I might still spare you!"

As he spoke, he not only kept draining the old man's power but increased the speed.

"Are you from the Extraterrestrial Race? Is all of this their scheme?" the old man shouted angrily.

By now, the old man was convinced he had figured it all out. When had a Heavy Treasure ever appeared on Bloodfall Continent before?

That Heavy Treasure had to be a plot by the Extraterrestrial Race. They'd taken advantage of this opportunity to eliminate an elder of the Immortal Temple and weaken Bloodfall Continent.

Ever since the ancient war, they had captured plenty of people from beyond their world. Yet those outsiders had all been minor figures at the Cloud Nine level. They were probably nothing more than bait thrown in by their own people!

The claim that outsiders were powerful enough to wipe out Bloodfall Continent at any moment was laughable. Bloodfall Continent was so powerful that it had survived the ancient war. How could their claims possibly be true?

Besides, he'd heard that outsiders valued Bloodfall Crystals greatly. If so, the purpose of the outsider controlling the Heavy Treasure was obvious.

Gulanxiu sneered. "A scheme? As if you're worth scheming against!"

The old man felt his divine power had fallen to just ninety-two percent. By the time he'd finished speaking, he'd lost another four percent. Knowing he couldn't escape the Heavy Treasure's restraints, he had no choice but to call for help.

In the central region of the Immortal Temple stood a magnificent hall. Twelve figures sat inside. Their auras weren't particularly strong, but each of them carried an indescribable quality.

The figure seated in the second chair to the right of the main seat suddenly opened his eyes and said, "An outsider has invaded, carrying a Heavy Treasure. My main body has been trapped and can't escape! Everyone, come to my Divine Kingdom at once. We must keep this outsider here. Remember, don't let the Heavy Treasure trap you!"

The speaker was the Blood-Robed Elder trapped by Gulanxiu. The hall was called the Elder Hall, and each of the twelve elders had left a Divine Power Avatar there.

A tall figure seated in the main chair suddenly asked in confusion, "Fifth, what exactly happened? Tell us everything."

The old man hurriedly replied, "There's no time! You'll understand when you get to my Divine Kingdom!" With that, he dispersed his Divine Power Avatar and withdrew his consciousness, focusing all his strength on resisting Green Lotus's devouring force.

Gulanxiu, whose flesh and blood were connected to Green Lotus, immediately felt its devouring slow slightly. But he didn't mind. The moment the old man had charged into Green Lotus, his fate had been sealed. It didn't matter whether it happened a little sooner or later!

Meanwhile, in the Elder Hall, the other eleven elders were briefly stunned when the Blood-Robed Elder's figure disappeared.

The highest-ranking elder, seated in the main chair, was the first to speak. "The Fifth Elder's Divine Power Token is still here. He must be fighting the outsider with all his strength and can no longer maintain his Divine Power Avatar's wisp of consciousness. Let's hurry to his Divine Kingdom and help!"

As soon as he finished speaking, his main body, which was in a manor behind the Elder Hall, tore through space and appeared in his Divine Kingdom. He then rushed out and flew toward the Blood-Robed Elder's Divine Kingdom. As he flew, time seemed to twist around him. His speed didn't look particularly great, yet in an instant he arrived outside the Blood-Robed Elder's Divine Kingdom, punched an opening through its boundary, and slipped inside!

The other ten elders did the same. Within seconds, the twelve most powerful elders on Bloodfall Continent had gathered in the Divine Kingdom.

Normally, the undying gods of the Original Universe kept the locations of their Divine Kingdoms secret. They wouldn't reveal them even to family or close friends. Although a Divine Kingdom enhanced an undying god's strength, it was also one of their weaknesses.

A Divine Kingdom was difficult to move. If an enemy discovered it and found a way to destroy it, the owner's future was over. Not only would accumulating divine power become incredibly difficult, but the possibility of advancement would be lost forever.

That was why undying gods in the Original Universe rarely revealed the locations of their Divine Kingdoms.

Bloodfall Continent, however, was different. Since they couldn't enter deeper layers of space, the Divine Kingdoms of its undying gods were all located on the surface layer, within the same space.

Once outside a Divine Kingdom, one could see the countless others scattered across the surface layer like stars. Under those circumstances, the location of every Divine Kingdom was plain to see, so the elders could easily rush to one another's aid.

As soon as the elders entered the Blood-Robed Elder's Divine Kingdom, they saw a colossal lotus hovering a hundred meters above its center.

The first to attack was the leading elder. He drew a Long Spear, his aura surged, and the weapon instantly transformed into a Black Dragon that slammed into Green Lotus.

A thunderous BOOM! rang out. The Black Dragon flew backward, transformed back into a Long Spear, and landed in the leading elder's hand.

The Giant Cyan Lotus had been knocked back tens of thousands of meters, but it was completely unharmed!

The leading elder's expression darkened. He turned to the other ten elders and said, "Everyone, burn your divine power! We'll attack together!"

The other elders naturally had no objections. In an instant, eleven powerful auras rose within the Blood-Robed Elder's Divine Kingdom! Eleven attacks of different forms struck the Giant Cyan Lotus at the same time.
