Xu Ye sighed, and his voice softened somewhat.
"I never passed through Zhaoyang Commandery City myself; I only heard it from others. But the matter caused quite a stir, and word spread through several nearby commanderies and counties. I suppose... it should be true."
Hearing this, Lu Huan blankly let go of him and murmured:

Shen Hui sighed as well.
Seeing them like this, Xu Ye hurriedly added:
"But I also heard that the refugees outside the city, grateful for that old Daoist master's great deeds, made a clay statue of him. After receiving incense offerings, he apparently merged with a peach tree and became the Peach God."
Lu Huan looked somewhat bewildered at that.
She rubbed her eyes, sniffled, and asked:
"Peach God... what does that mean?"
"It is something like a river goddess, except it resides within a peach tree."
Shen Hui explained, then fell into thought. "It could be considered a stroke of fortune. But whether it is a blessing or a curse, I do not know."
Xu Ye comforted them:
"In my view, it should be a good thing. I later heard that the peach tree became increasingly spiritual."
"Oh? How so?" Shen Hui pressed.
"Well... they say that peach tree can now not only send dreams
