Qin Mingyue is the Qin Family’s phoenix jewel and Flying Bird City’s celebrated “Number One Beauty.” During the Qin Family’s sword-drawing bride selection, she openly rejects the idea of marriage without consent, declaring that anyone who wishes to marry her must first face her sword. Her sole stated pursuit is the peak of martial arts. 11

Although she is the Qin Family’s leading young talent, the ancestral Taixuan Sword does not choose her. Shen Zhou draws the weapon instead, and Qin Mingyue is defeated in a single exchange when the Qin disciples try to reclaim it. The loss leaves her bitterly resentful and jealous; she believes that, with the divine weapon, reaching martial arts’ summit would be within reach. 13

After Shen Zhou breaks relations with the Qin Family, Ancestor Qin declares him the family head and orders Qin Mingyue to follow him—an arrangement Qin Mingyue accepts after saying she has “thought it through.” She subsequently guides Shen Zhou and the Three Little Ones to White Deer Academy, trains nearby while he undergoes body refinement, and begins accompanying him in daily life. 17 19

Her apparent devotion initially conceals a plan to seize the Taixuan Sword. Believing her Qin bloodline could win the Sword Spirit’s recognition, she uses an Ancient Cultivation Secret Art and her own blood to awaken the spirit. Shen Zhou had deliberately left the weapon unguarded to test her, exposing her motives. 34 35

Qin Mingyue fails to defeat Shen Zhou even while wielding the Taixuan Sword. Learning that Shen Zhou’s strength does not come from the weapon forces her to reassess him and her own assumptions.
