"Speaking of which," Yan Chihuo said, raising the Sun-Moon Bow. A streak of earthy yellow light shot from it, hurtling straight toward the zombie.
The light streaked past, and the dense fog split open with it. Kong Yi and Xiao Qian caught sight of the zombie at once, even its fangs clear as day. In the blink of an eye, the light reached the zombie.
The zombie opened its mouth and spat out a stream of black qi. Black light immediately covered its entire head, making it look like jade. With a bang, the earthy yellow streak struck its forehead and shattered into pieces, vanishing without a trace. The zombie's head, however, remained unharmed.
"Jade Skin Art!" Kong Yi and Xiao Qian cried in unison.
The Jade Skin Art was an intermediate defensive spell of the earth element. Seeing the zombie cast it so effortlessly, Yan Chihuo's heart sank. The zombie's strength was clearly beyond even his expectations.
But at this point, he had no time to dwell on it. He immediately fired three more streaks of earthy yellow light. There was a single bang, and all three were scattered. Yan Chihuo's three arrows had been so fast that they had arrived almost simultaneously.
Though the three streaks still hadn't injured the zombie, it roared again and spat out a stream of black qi, clearly casting Jade Skin Art once more.
Kong Yi's eyes lit up. "This zombie is indeed badly injured!" Yan Chihuo nodded to himself. If the zombie weren't so badly hurt, Jade Skin Art would have been enough to withstand seven or eight arrows from the Sun-Moon Bow. Yet after only four arrows, it already had to cast the spell again. The severity of its injuries was plain to see.
