Boom!

A shabby signboard suddenly fell from a small inn, kicking up clouds of dust.

With a deafening roar from the Monster Beast, everyone could clearly feel the entire Tianyun City tremble.

"This... is at least a Foundation Establishment Middle Stage Monster Beast." Huang Cheng cried out in alarm, and a trace of worry flashed across Tang Xue's face as well.

By now, they and Chen Fan's group had entered the inn. The bloody stench in the air had lessened somewhat, but beneath the Monster Beast's roar, Tianyun City was abruptly shrouded in dense killing intent. The roar had barely faded when faint rustling sounds began to drift over from afar.

"What is that sound? Why does it make my hair stand on end?" Tang Xue's face had gone slightly pale, though she remained composed.

The other two Qi Refining disciples were also filled with fear, yet neither spoke. They merely gritted their teeth and stayed close behind Chen Fan.

"They're here." Chen Fan's voice was calm, as though he had not taken the Monster Beasts to heart at all.

In truth, Chen Fan seemed somewhat distracted. He had been looking upward the entire time. Even after entering the inn, he repeatedly peered through the window at the dark cloud overhead, his expression solemn.

"They're here? Who's here?" Huang Cheng heard Chen Fan's words but could not react in time.

Before his words had even faded, a strange gust suddenly howled past outside the inn, sweeping up a cloud of gray dust as it flashed past the entrance.

"A Qi Refining Ninth Layer Monster Beast!" Huang Cheng cried out again, his eyes wide. Against a Monster Beast with such speed, he had no power to fight back whatsoever.

"So powerful..." Tang Xue could not help swallowing hard, her nerves taut.
