Ch. 61Victory, Second in the World?

Lucky defeated Dominic in their Heavenly Arena rematch, revealing a new movement technique called Soru and helping spectators understand how to counter his eye illusions. His growing reputation earned him the title of “second in the world,” and Biscuit approached him about training.

  • Dominic used phantom strikes and Nen-enhanced gloves to attack Lucky, who figured out how the invisible blows worked.
  • Lucky used Soru to outpace Dominic, scored points, and defeated him with the technique and his powerful Nen.
  • Lucky began selling instructions for Soru at his Heavenly Arena bookstore, inspiring fighters to train and earning the title “second in the world.”
  • Biscuit sought out Lucky to discuss her training, prompting him to ask whether she was developing in the direction of Tianshan Tonglao.

Ch. 62Testing Abilities

Lucky discussed Nen training with Biscuit and learned how Dominic had used Divine Script to control his clones. He tested Phoenix’s Contract ability on Nen-awakened lab mice, then turned his attention to Blood Jade Bees and Blood Orchids as possible Nen creatures and plants.

  • Biscuit told Lucky she had cultivated her own version of Tianshan Plum-Plucking Hands and asked for advice about the Tianshan Six Yang Palms and Life-Death Talisman, but Lucky could only suggest studying specialized medical knowledge.
  • Dominic explained to Lucky that Divine Script had strengthened his control over clones when they formed the script for “Communication.”
  • Lucky planted the Acorn in the Heavenly Arena and tested Phoenix’s Contract ability on seven lab mice whose Aura Nodes he had awakened.
  • Lucky found that Phoenix could make living creatures with aura into contractors, though Phoenix could not control the mice and Lucky decided not to try the ability on humans yet.
  • Lucky considered cultivating a Manipulation ability and began researching whether Blood Jade Bees and Blood Orchids could become Nen creatures and plants.

Ch. 63Julia's Request for an Audience

Lucky learned that Gourmet Hunters could prepare Nen Cooking and considered hiring them for Heavenly Arena, then heard Julia’s report about a dangerous creature in Basen Forest. After Biscuit told him the Hunter Association had issued a commission to deal with a Magical Beast there, Lucky agreed to take it.

  • Lucky researched Gourmet Hunters and Nen Cooking, then decided he might post a commission to collect Divine Script.
  • Julia visited Lucky and reported that the Conrad Family’s projects near Lade Cape were affected by an abnormal danger in Basen Forest.
  • Julia explained that the Pachi Tribe would trade land for medicinal herbs if Lucky’s people resolved the problem, but previous searchers had suffered casualties and some were dead or missing.
  • Biscuit called Lucky to tell him the Hunter Association had issued a commission concerning a Magical Beast in Basen.
  • Lucky agreed to take the commission.

Ch. 64Pachi Tribe

Lucky and Biscuit took a Hunter Association commission to capture a Nen-using humanoid Magical Beast in Basen Forest, and traveled to meet the Pachi Tribe. Oma explained that a mysterious region had been making people and animals disappear for five years, and that it had slowly expanded.

  • Biscuit told Lucky that a humanoid Magical Beast with Nen had appeared in Basen Forest and that the commission required it to be captured alive for five billion Jenie and a Hunter badge from the Republic of Mingbo.
  • Lucky and Biscuit traveled by airship to Lade Cape and decided to ask the Pachi Tribe, who knew the rainforest well, about the situation.
  • Lucky called the Conrad Family's local project manager, who introduced him and Biscuit to Oma of the Pachi Tribe.
  • Oma led Lucky and Biscuit through Basen Forest and explained that the Pachi Tribe had noticed a dangerous region five years earlier where living creatures disappeared.
  • Oma said the region had kept expanding, the Pachi Tribe's investigators and Julia's Nen Ability users had vanished or found nothing, and even the Conrad Family's strong members had failed to solve the problem.

Ch. 65Overnight in the Rainforest

Lucky, Biscuit, and Oma found evidence of the Predator in the Basen Rainforest and continued toward the Pachi Tribe. They camped for the night, where Lucky used his abilities to prepare a safe place to rest.

  • Oma identified a bloodied Basen Python as prey of the Predator, a powerful Magical Beast that had attacked people in the rainforest.
  • Oma told Lucky and Biscuit that the Predator could communicate and that only Harris, the strongest member of the Pachi Tribe, had seen it.
  • Lucky, Biscuit, and Oma walked for half a day without reaching the tribe and made camp in the rainforest.
  • Lucky summoned Phoenix, whose appearance Biscuit noticed had changed, and Phoenix flew happily over the rainforest.
  • Lucky burned away the bloody carcass and created a controlled ring of fire to guard the campsite for the night.

Ch. 66Arrival at the Pachi Tribe

Lucky and Biscuit followed Oma through the Basen Rainforest’s mysterious mist and arrived at the Pachi Tribe village, where they met its chief, Benson, and priest, Munro. Lucky became intrigued by the tribe’s spatial concealment and unfamiliar Divine Script as they prepared to learn about the problem the Conrad Family had hired them to solve.

  • Lucky, Biscuit, and Oma traveled through the morning mist, where Lucky and Biscuit sensed an unusual natural aura and the forest’s sounds suddenly stopped.
  • Oma led them through the thinning mist to the Pachi Tribe village, where Dorak and the other villagers greeted them with respect as Heavenly Arena Floor Masters.
  • Biscuit recognized a green stone as the Heart of Nature, and Oma offered it to her; Biscuit instead asked to receive it as payment after they solved the tribe’s problem.
  • Phoenix could not locate Lucky in the mist, leading Lucky to suspect that the Pachi Tribe’s concealment separated spaces in a way he wanted to understand and master.
  • Lucky noticed unfamiliar Divine Script on the priest’s house before Benson, the chief, and Munro, the priest, welcomed him and Biscuit inside.

Ch. 67Demon Realm, Secret Realm

Lucky and Biscuit met with Chief Munro to discuss the Basen Rainforest’s threat, and Biscuit suspected it might be a Demon Realm or Secret Realm connected to ancient ruins or spatial Nen. Oma then led them toward the Devouring Land to investigate.

  • Lucky told Munro that the Heavenly Arena and the Conrad Family were partners, reassured him that Basen’s development would not endanger the Pachi Tribe, and promised to consider the tribe’s interests.
  • Munro explained that the Pachi Tribe’s prophecy warned Basen could become a land that devoured living beings, and described how beasts, birds, insects, and even corpses had disappeared there.
  • Biscuit suggested the Devouring Land might be a Demon Realm or Secret Realm, possibly formed by ancient ruins, a special space, or Post-Mortem Nen.
  • Munro shared that an ancient kingdom had once existed on the land, strengthening Biscuit’s suspicion that Basen contained a ruin-created Secret Realm.
  • Oma led Lucky and Biscuit through the mist toward the Devouring Land so they could investigate.

Ch. 68Contact, Discovery

Lucky investigated the boundary of a strange patch of rainforest that made animals disappear and discovered that faint Nen was responsible. After entering it himself, he was transported at the twenty-third minute but used Spatial Teleportation to switch places with Phoenix and return beside Oma.

  • Oma led Lucky and Biscuit to the boundary of the strange land, and Lucky sent Phoenix ahead to investigate.
  • Lucky suggested that the land and the Magical Beast that had appeared in Basen Forest might be connected, so Biscuit left to pursue her Association assignment.
  • Lucky and Oma tested dead and crippled animals in the land, and Lucky detected faint traces of Nen when the dead beast disappeared.
  • Lucky entered the land to test it himself while Oma waited with Phoenix.
  • At the twenty-third minute, Nen transported Lucky, but he switched places with Phoenix using Spatial Teleportation and reappeared beside Oma.

Ch. 69Underground Ruins

Lu Qi used Phoenix to investigate the hidden Stone Forest beneath Basen Forest, discovering its Nen-absorbing Divine Script and a Jade Screen that monitored the forest and Pachi Village. After Phoenix returned, Lu Qi told Oma he needed to speak with the Pachi chief and Priest, and revealed that he had noticed the Nen-filled mist surrounding their village.

  • Phoenix appeared in a Stone Forest beneath Basen Forest, where Divine Script pillars absorbed its Nen until its Purification Power shielded it.
  • Phoenix explored the operating altar and used a Jade Screen to observe Basen Forest, including Biscuit, other Hunters, and a wounded tiger-headed Beastman.
  • Lu Qi saw Pachi Village on the Jade Screen and found writing like that in the village, concluding that the Stone Forest was connected to it and absorbed living beings to power its workings.
  • Lu Qi decided to speak with the Pachi chief and Priest before choosing what to do with the Divine Script he had discovered.
  • Oma looked for mist to guide Lu Qi back, but Lu Qi revealed that he had already noticed the Nen within it; Oma acknowledged the secret and said outsiders still needed a Pachi guide to enter the village.

Ch. 70A Three-Man Team

Donald, Herman, and Gao Yougan searched Basen Rainforest for a Magical Beast, using Gao Yougan’s Detection Radar to track it through the rain. Meanwhile, Lucky and Oma returned to Pachi Village, where Lucky questioned Chief Munro and priest Benson about the village’s hidden existence and learned that the tribe had lost much of its knowledge of Nen.

  • Donald, Herman, and Gao Yougan pursued the commission to find a Magical Beast, with Gao Yougan’s ability pinpointing its location.
  • As rain and mist slowed other search teams, Gao Yougan’s team continued tracking the beast without being hindered by the weather.
  • Lucky returned to Pachi Village with Oma and found that he could teleport into it freely using Phoenix’s spatial ability.
  • Lucky asked Chief Munro and priest Benson how Pachi Village could exist within Basen yet remain outside it, and they said its uniqueness protected the tribe but its origins were unknown to them.
  • Munro and Benson explained that the Pachi Tribe had lost much of its inheritance after the previous priest disappeared and lacked a reliable method for awakening Nen.

Ch. 71Pachi Tribe's Past, Planting a "Divine Tree"

Lucky explained that the expanding Devouring Land came from the Underground Ruins’ failing protection of Pachi Village, and learned that the Pachi Tribe’s War Marks were tied to the ruins. He proposed planting a Divine Tree as a solution, while keeping his own interest in the Sacred Land to himself.

  • Munro and Benson explained that the Pachi Tribe had dwindled after its Nen inheritance was repeatedly lost and that its people feared the Devouring Land’s expansion.
  • Lucky refused Munro’s request to take them to the Sacred Land, claiming he could not bring them inside and that entering was dangerous.
  • Munro described the Pachi Tribe’s War Mark, then discovered he could channel Nen through it and began a Sacrificial Dance with Benson and the villagers.
  • Munro and Benson realized that only two Nen users could not sustain the sacrifice needed to stop the Devouring Land from expanding.
  • Lucky said the Devouring Land needed enough Nen to maintain the village’s protection, mentioned supplying it with creatures as one option, and proposed planting a Divine Tree.

Ch. 72Super-Strong Ruins Abilities

Lucky investigated the Divine Tree and the Underground Ruins, learning how their Nen abilities could influence the Basen Rainforest. He activated an altar and discovered it could control rainfall, but its operation required five people and substantial Nen.

  • Lucky explained to Munro and Benson that the Divine Tree could help people master Nen if they offered their faith, and they said they would discuss it with their tribespeople.
  • Lucky left Pachi Village and sent Phoenix to find the Magical Beast connected to the Pachi Tribe.
  • Lucky used Spatial Teleportation to reach the Underground Ruins and learned that the active altar maintained Pachi Village’s alternate space and observed the rainforest, while the Stone Forest supplied Nen.
  • Lucky discovered that the Stone Forest’s Divine Script created the Devouring Land and illusions that trapped intruders, and that the Devouring Land could help Pachi tribespeople resist enemies.
  • Lucky activated the inactive altar with his Nen and learned that it could control rainfall, but required five people and sufficient Nen to operate.

Ch. 73Magical Beast's Strength

Gao Yougan, Donald, and Herman fought an injured tiger-headed Magical Beast in the rainforest, but it transformed into a white tiger and overwhelmed them. After Gao Yougan launched a signal firework, the Beast abandoned Herman and tracked Gao Yougan down, leaving him trapped in front of it.

  • Donald and Herman cornered the tiger-headed Magical Beast while Gao Yougan assembled a hidden sniper rifle to support them.
  • Donald fought at close range as Herman fired Nen bullets, and Gao Yougan's shot reopened one of the Beast's wounds.
  • The Magical Beast transformed into a white tiger, severely injured Donald, and forced him to call for Plan B.
  • Gao Yougan launched a signal firework to attract other Hunters, but the Magical Beast charged toward him instead of fleeing.
  • Gao Yougan abandoned his rifle and supplies and tried to escape with Zetsu, but the Magical Beast followed every turn and landed in front of him.

Ch. 74Other "Hunters"

Biscuit saved Gao Yougan and fought a rampaging White Tiger Magical Beast until other Hunters arrived. The beast killed several gunmen before two Hunters wounded and restrained it, leaving its capture unresolved.

  • Biscuit kicked the White Tiger Magical Beast away from Gao Yougan and dodged its attacks as it grew larger and unleashed Nen roars.
  • Herman and Donald reached Gao Yougan, and more Hunters and Heavenly Arena Martial Artists gathered to watch Biscuit fight.
  • The White Tiger Magical Beast regained some clarity, then roared at the Martial Artists and charged the armed squad.
  • The beast slaughtered several gunmen and fled into the forest as its body began to shrink.
  • A sword-wielding Hunter slashed the beast's abdomen, and another bound its legs with ropes.
  • One Hunter prepared to strike the fallen beast, but someone warned that the mission required it alive.

Ch. 75Liezhong Association, Lucky's Choice

Lucky decided to intervene when Valentine and Dinny of the Liezhong Association took the captured White Tiger Magical Beast, which he recognized as a Pachi Tribe member. He disguised himself with a Pachi War Mark and Phoenix’s Contract pattern, then appeared before them in the form of a bare-chested boy.

  • Valentine and Dinny ambushed the White Tiger Magical Beast, captured it, and attacked the teams that tried to claim it.
  • Biscuit recognized Valentine and Dinny as members of the Liezhong Association and deduced that the Magical Beast had once been human.
  • Donald’s team and the martial artists withdrew after Biscuit hesitated to challenge the Liezhong Association.
  • Lucky recognized the War Mark as belonging to the Pachi Tribe and decided he could not let the captured person go, hoping to find help deciphering the Divine Script.
  • Lucky changed into a young boy, marked himself with a Pachi War Mark and Phoenix’s Contract pattern, and blocked Valentine and Dinny as they carried off the Magical Beast.

Ch. 76Puwenla Group

Lucky disguised himself as a member of the Pachi Tribe and confronted Valentine and Dinny to stop them from taking the unconscious “Magical Beast.” He fought them without revealing his identity, and Dinny named the Puwenla Group as their employer.

  • Lucky used Spatial Teleportation to gather supplies and disguised himself as a Pachi Tribe member before confronting the group.
  • Valentine questioned Lucky, who demanded that they release the bound “Magical Beast” and leave; Dinny attacked but Lucky kicked him away.
  • Valentine released the captive, while Lucky used ropes that burst from the ground and blocked Dinny’s sword with his palm.
  • Lucky’s rapid Nen-infused palm strikes forced Valentine to retreat into the forest and Dinny to defend himself with his blade.
  • Dinny warned Lucky that the Puwenla Group was not a force he could provoke, and Lucky recognized it as a powerful pharmaceutical company.

Ch. 77Water "Divine Script," Altar Ability

Lucky fought Dinny and Valentine in the Basen Rainforest while testing a water-based Divine Script, and prepared to use Pachi Village’s Altar if he could not end the fight quickly. The battle continued as mist began to gather, with Lucky still aiming to make it appear that the Pachi Tribe had rescued the Magical Beast.

  • Dinny attacked Lucky at close range, but Lucky blocked his strikes and knocked him aside with a blow.
  • Lucky used water infused with Divine Script to counter Dinny’s Nen Slash, then located Valentine despite his concealment and demanded that he release his abilities.
  • Valentine and Dinny combined their abilities, but Lucky evaded Dinny’s attacks and struck Valentine with raindrops.
  • Valentine appealed to Biscuit and the others for help, while Lucky used another water strike to sweep aside the ropes extending from Dinny’s armor.
  • Biscuit watched as Lucky continued to hold back, and Lucky prepared the Altar’s protective ability to take people away if needed.
  • Mist began to spread as Lucky planned to make his appearance look like the Pachi Tribe had rescued the Magical Beast.

Ch. 78Gold

Lucky rescued Gold from Valentine and the others, then used the Underground Ruins to escape with him into the Basen Rainforest. Gold revealed that he was a Pachi Tribe priest and a test subject, but a dangerous backlash struck before Lucky could learn more, leaving Phoenix to heal him.

  • Lucky used mist to help Gold and the Magical Beast escape after Valentine’s mission failed, while the other Hunters abandoned the commission except Donald’s team.
  • Lucky and Gold appeared elsewhere in the Basen Rainforest, where Lucky revealed his name and transformed into his young-man form.
  • Gold explained that the Puwenla Group had captured Pachi Tribe members for experiments involving Magical Beast and human genes.
  • Gold suffered a painful backlash from the Magical Beast genes, and Phoenix healed his wounds with its healing ability.

Ch. 79Weakness Is the Original Sin

Lucky healed Gold with Phoenix’s tears and told him that his survival endangered the Pachi Tribe unless they left the Basen Rainforest or found protection. Gold asked whether the tribe could submit to Lucky in exchange for strength to defend itself, and Lucky brought him back to Pachi Village to warn his people.

  • Lucky’s Phoenix tears restored Gold’s vitality and eased the genetic collapse caused by the backlash.
  • Lucky explained that Gold’s importance to his captors put the Pachi Tribe at risk, and Gold weighed the danger against leaving his homeland.
  • Gold asked Lucky to protect the Pachi Tribe if they submitted to him, and Lucky offered to give them strength to protect themselves without promising direct protection.
  • Gold agreed to return to the village and tell his people what had happened, and Lucky used spatial power to bring him to Pachi Village.
  • Munro and Benson hurried to the village entrance, where Munro asked Lucky what was going on.

Ch. 80Time to Consider, Seeking Help

Lucky helped the Pachi Tribe reunite with Gold, who wrote about how the Puwenla Group had abducted and experimented on their clansmen. He warned the tribe against seeking revenge without understanding their powerful enemy, then left them to decide whether to trade their inherited knowledge for his help; afterward, he asked Biscuit for assistance.

  • Benson recognized Gold as a missing Pachi Tribe clansman, and the group brought him to Benson's house to learn what had happened.
  • Gold wrote about the Puwenla Group's experiments and the deaths and mutations of the missing Pachi Tribe members, enraging Munro, Benson, and the villagers.
  • Lucky used his Nen to restrain the villagers and explained that Puwenla was a powerful global corporation with ties to V5.
  • Lucky offered to help in exchange for the Pachi Tribe's inherited knowledge and left them time to decide.
  • Munro and Benson questioned Gold about the Sacred Land while Lucky secretly observed their exchange.
  • Lucky appeared before Biscuit, confirmed that Gold was one of the Pachi Tribe, and asked her for help.
