As the author of a 3.4-million-word, high-quality Hunter fanfic, I thought I understood the limitations of this genre in the fanfiction section better than most authors who had written Hunter fanfics.

It was hard to write—really hard.

It took me three to five hours to write a chapter, not entirely because I hadn't made an outline. While writing, I had to turn the content over and over in my head, doing my best to ensure there were no oversights in the details, plot, or logic.

So my efficiency was very poor.

Aside from being slow to write, Hunter also had far too small an audience in the fanfiction section.

The first fanfic I put behind a paywall was Naruto: Menace. Its latest chapter now had 6,628 subscriptions, while the latest chapter of my second work, Gourmet Hunter, had 2,506.

The third fanfic I put behind a paywall was One Piece: Menace. Its highest single-chapter subscription count was now over 20,000, around 10,000 more than Hunter's highest single-chapter subscription count.

That was the gap.

Judging from the audience data, after finishing One Piece: Menace, the best choice would have been to start a Naruto fanfic.

But I was still stubbornly diving headfirst into the Hunter pit once again...

So I had mentally prepared myself for this book's performance.

All I could sincerely hope was that those of you readers who could afford it would support the official subscriptions. Hunter fanfics really weren't easy.
