"If that is truly necessary, I will take on the duties of a Spirit Cat Warrior and protect Suihua—protect everyone!"

Suixiang patted her worried younger sister and asked Suixin to accompany her to see the camp leader.

"Stop. This is not a place you should be. I know you can understand me."

As soon as Suixiang and Suixin approached the Brick Cottage, Audrey stopped them.

Audrey had kept her promise to travel together and acted as Medivh's Guardian Knight. As for whether Medivh actually needed a guardian knight, that was another matter.

In any case, this was what she had been doing for the past few months, and Medivh had never told her not to patrol.

"Lady Audrey, we wish to request an audience with Lord Medivh."

Suixiang and Suixin did not retreat and explained their purpose.

"How incredible! How did you do that?"

Suixin briefly explained why she could understand Audrey and Medivh's conversations, as well as why she could communicate with them.

Audrey did not let them pass. She stared suspiciously at the two Cat-Girl Race girls. What if they intended to assassinate Medivh, or had some other motive?

"Lady Audrey, you have seen that we have lived here for some time, but we have never had any real role. We wish to pledge loyalty to Lord Medivh and work for him."

Suixin conveyed Suixiang's thoughts to Audrey.

"Wait here. I'll go ask Medivh."

Audrey thought that made sense. She told Suixin and Suixiang to wait where they were, then went to ask Medivh what he thought.

She was quite curious how Medivh would deal with this group of unexpectedly acquired foreign slave girls.

"Bring them over."

Medivh would not keep supporting idle people out of kindness forever. Since the Cat-girls had the resolve to offer their service voluntarily, he was fairly satisfied.

He did not refuse the meeting and had Audrey bring the two Cat-girls over.

"You wish to pledge loyalty to me?"

After Suixin explained things to her, Suixiang stepped forward, bowed to Medivh, and displayed her abilities.

A damaged Spirit Rune lit up on her forehead, and Medivh could sense Transcendent power gathering within her body.

Spirit Rune Warriors were one of the Spirit Cat Race's Transcendent Heritages, combining magical runes with knights.

Suixiang was an unranked Spirit Rune Warrior, equivalent to a Mage Apprentice.

Both were unranked, but an Apprentice Spirit Rune Warrior was much stronger than an Apprentice Knight of the same level, since Apprentice Spirit Rune Warriors possessed Transcendent power.

As Suixiang displayed her abilities, Audrey gripped the hilt of her sword and watched her closely. If Suixiang made any suspicious move, Audrey would strike.

"Come here."

After Suixiang finished her demonstration, Medivh beckoned for her to approach him.

Suixiang withdrew the Spirit Rune on her forehead and obediently walked over.

"Meow..."

When Medivh reached out his hand, Suixiang let out a soft whimper. She did not resist and silently cooperated as Medivh toyed with her.

"You are quite prepared."

Medivh was merely testing Suixiang's obedience. After playing with her for a while, he withdrew his hand.

Clearly, this Spirit Cat Race warrior had already prepared herself before coming here and was very compliant.

Medivh did not mind having a few more ornaments in the camp. He could endure loneliness while quietly growing stronger, but that did not mean he was accustomed to solitude.

Medivh placed Suixiang in charge of the foreign slave girls. Her first task was to teach them the human language.

After assigning the task, Medivh waved them away, telling Suixiang and Suixin to leave the Brick Cottage and not disturb him while he refined Skeletons.

"Medivh, that must have felt good just now. Touch me too!"

After Suixiang and Suixin left, Audrey leaned closer.

Was her affection not obvious enough already? Could he not at least respect who came first?

"Don't worry. Once I'm free, you'll be the first one I deal with."

Medivh smiled faintly and fulfilled her wish.

Armory Camp was nearing completion, and the Skeletons in the camp had reached a certain scale. The situation was no longer as urgent as when Medivh had first arrived, so he was not as stern as before.

"Mhm, mhm!"

Audrey nodded happily. Once Medivh resumed working, she obediently left the Brick Cottage so as not to disturb him while he refined Skeletons.

"Suixiang, were you bullied?"

Suixiang had not allowed Suixin to mention what happened during the meeting. She only told everyone that she had earned the camp leader's approval.

Suihua paid close attention to details. Others could not tell, but she noticed signs that Suixiang's clothes had been disturbed.

"It's all right. I will protect Suihua!"

Suixiang smiled and reassured Suihua. Medivh's obedience test had made her realize that day was unavoidable.

Now it only depended on when Medivh became interested in her.

She had already made up her mind. To protect Suihua and her clanspeople, she would diligently do what needed to be done.

After a while, Audrey came over.

There were only two humans in the camp, Audrey and Medivh. Medivh was busy refining Skeletons, so teaching the foreign girls the human language could only fall to her.

During the lessons, Audrey kept an eye on Suixiang and the foreign girls.

Suixiang now received the same treatment as Audrey, and these foreign girls would gradually integrate into Armory Camp.

The foreign girls were primarily from the Spirit Cat Race, numbering fifteen in total.

There were also six Spirit Fox Tribe girls and four Spirit Rabbit Tribe girls.

The Transcendent Heritages of these three races were similar, including Spirit Rune Warriors and spellcasters such as warlocks.

Among the twenty-five foreign girls, only Suixiang was an Apprentice Spirit Rune Warrior and counted as a Transcendent.

Some of the other girls had special talents. For example, Suixin was a Mind Speaker, while Suihua had some skill with plants and potions.

They were potential Transcendents, but they had not inherited Transcendent power.

After the Necrotic Scourge came the War of Gods, fought to redivide territory.

Then came Ragnarok, the hunt for gods, followed by the War of Ten Thousand Races after Ragnarok.

After successive wars, it was not only the inheritance of Necromancers that had been lost. Human knights, mages, and the Transcendent Heritages of other races had also lost much.

It was said that Transcendents had once been everywhere, but now even a first-rank Transcendent was worth taking seriously.

There were not many Transcendents to be seen throughout the entire Odyssey Region.

This showed just how greatly the races had declined after the War of Ten Thousand Races.

In the blink of an eye, another half month passed. Around the transition between early and mid-September, five months after Medivh had left Loran City as a Pioneer, the southern wall of Armory Camp was finally enclosed.

In five months, Medivh had gone from sleeping in the Wilderness to possessing an Armory Camp, establishing a foundation for survival.

The Skeleton force in Armory Camp had grown again: seventy-two Grey Bone Skeletons, fifty-six White Bone Skeletons, and eighty-eight Green Bone Skeletons.
