"Orc Curse, Fox-person Art—damn it, where did this bunch of skeletons come from?!"
The Taunt Totem was only the beginning. Next came the Orc Prophet's Curse of Weakness and Dim Curse, followed by the Fox-person sorcerers' Mental Charm and other spells.
The five Second-Rank Knights' vision kept turning red, then black, then filling with layer upon layer of illusions.
Spells and spell-like abilities rained down on them, leaving them in constant danger.
Whoosh!
A Bone Arrow cut through the air. The Second-Rank Knight it targeted failed to dodge in time, and the arrow, glowing deep blue, pierced his head from front to back.
"Watch out! It's a Second-Rank Skeleton Archer!"
The Storm Mercenary Group's leader traced the arrow's path and pointed at a White Bone Skeleton Archer in an arrow tower as he shouted.
He regretted his earlier decision more than ever. This Necropolis was far more terrifying than he had imagined.
The Necropolis had not only First-Rank skeletons; it also had Second-Rank skeletons hidden in its ranks.
The White Bone Skeleton the leader had pointed out was actually a Deep Blue Skeleton Ranger with many years of experience.
Time Skeletons that had awakened Bone Spirit Power could adjust the color of their bones themselves.
Kurd's Bone Spirits were all white in battle.
But while the color of their bones could be disguised, their essence could not.
For example, the Bone Spirit Power attached to that Bone Arrow was deep blue, not white.
Cobalt Blue Skeletons and Deep Blue Skeletons both started out as high-level First-Rank Bone Spirits.
Even at the same high rank, there was a huge difference between them. Cobalt Blue Skeletons had only just reached the high level of First Rank, while Deep Blue Skeletons were high-level First-Rank Bone Spirits just one step away from Second Rank.
