Standing atop the High Tower and looking down over Kurd City, Medivh sighed once again at the shortage of skeletons.
Kurd City had twenty-three rows of blocks running east to west and sixteen columns running north to south, for a total of 368 separate blocks.
Including the hundred-meter-wide avenues between them, Kurd City covered roughly four thousand square kilometers—a vast territory.
And that was only Kurd City. Including Dragon Gate Ferry, which was rapidly expanding northward, his territory was even larger.
How many people lived across such a vast territory? Honestly, not many.
Medivh commanded 38,529 Grey Bone Skeletons, 23,247 White Bone Skeletons, 81,794 Green Bone Skeletons, 7,433 Blue Bone Skeletons, and 969 Purple Bone Skeletons.
His total number of skeletons was less than 152,000, which worked out to about thirty-eight skeletons per square kilometer in Kurd City.
Most of those 150,000 skeletons were Logistics Skeletons. There were about 65,000 combat skeletons of Green Bone rank and above.
That meant Kurd City had about sixteen Skeleton Guards per square kilometer.
A square kilometer was a unit of area, but it also served as the basic unit for defending Medivh's territory.
One square kilometer corresponded exactly to a large square block surrounded by a city wall.
Sixteen Skeleton Guards were nowhere near enough to defend such a large area.
Besides the skeletons, Medivh commanded four clans: the Spirit Cats, Spirit Rabbits, Spirit Foxes, and Tiger Cats.
Together, these four clans had a population of 300,000.
About 150,000 of them were fighters capable of serving as wall guards or Arrow Tower Guards.
