Cynthia could have taken Veledra to Crimson City to eat her fill. If Veledra didn't want to go out, she could have asked Medivh to come over and give her a back rub.
Instead, Veledra had disappeared without a word, then taken Cynthia's form to sneak off and meet Medivh. That was simply too much!
"Cynthia, I'll bring you along next time."
The Raging Wave Dragon Veledra was shameless and felt not the slightest bit guilty.
She promised to bring Cynthia along next time she needed to eat.
Dragons had short pregnancies, and reproduction was divided into an egg-bearing period and an incubation period.
The egg-bearing period usually lasted two years. During that time, the mother dragon stayed motionless in the Breeding Nest until the egg was fully developed and laid.
Once she laid the egg, the dragon's pregnancy was over.
The egg would incubate on its own in the Incubation Array, so the mother dragon didn't need to sit on it.
Dragons could move around freely while their eggs incubated. Many left their eggs in the Dragon Nest for its guards to watch over, while they either slept or went out to have fun.
For example, the egg laid by Blue Dragon Reinhardt after courting the Azure Wave Dragon Elder had been left to incubate in the Breeding Nest.
The Azure Wave Dragon Elder had returned to her Dragon Nest in the East Sea to sleep, while Blue Dragon Reinhardt had vanished, leaving the Breeding Nest in the care of Blue Dragon Sindasa.
The Breeding Nest built by Blue Dragon Reinhardt and the Azure Wave Dragon Elder had become Blue Dragon Sindasa's Dragon Nest.
Blue Dragon Reinhardt was a repeat offender. This time, after courting the Frost Dragon Queen and
