As the enemy attacked, the archers on the walls and in the Arrow Towers drew their bows and fired at the enemy climbing the mountainside like a swarm of ants.

The Giant Crossbows on the walls roared, launching massive bolts as thick as a forearm into the densest clusters of enemies and skewering them like candied hawthorn skewers.
The flying harpies tried to break through from the air, but bolts fired by the Anti-Air Ballistas and Sky Bow Ballistas shot them down.
The anti-air defenses in the Barren Mountain Region were formidable. The harpy troops couldn't break through at all.
At the Thunderbolt-type Origin Crystal Ironclad Vehicle battery, cannons thundered.
Elemental Shells crashed down on the densest clusters of enemies like falling stars. Fiery blasts spread, leaving the ground littered with charred corpses.
"The Skeleton Legion's firepower is incredible!"
The enemy attack had been underway for a while. The human soldiers on the walls casually praised the Skeleton Legion's firepower.
Under the barrage of arrows, crossbow bolts, and Elemental Shells, the Indigenous Allied Forces couldn't get through for the moment. The soldiers waited calmly for the Indigenous Warriors to attack the walls.
"Withdraw and reorganize!"
After the full-scale assault had gone on for several hours, the Indigenous Allied Forces' commanders ordered a retreat upon seeing the Vanguard Legion suffer heavy casualties.
The Vanguard Legion withdrew from the Barren Mountain Region to rest and reorganize.
The Reserve Legion took its place, becoming the new Vanguard Legion and launching a second full-scale assault.
