Next came the problem of mobilizing troops across the Star Sea. The Wrynn Family had no War Demi-plane, so sending an army to attack that plane would be extremely difficult.
There was also the problem of breaching the Plane Barrier. The strongest member of the Wrynn Family was only a mid-Seventh Rank mage; there was no way he could tear open a Seventh Rank plane's barrier with his bare hands. They would have to use a Mage Tower to break through.
But they had no knowledge of how to build a Mage Tower capable of Star Sea travel. They would have to build one near their target plane.
After careful consideration, Medivh realized that it would be too difficult for the Wrynn Family to wage a plane war on their own. He went to the Sam Plane to seek the Spore Queen's cooperation.
"I'll release the Spore Shuttles right away!"
The Spore Queen was deeply invested in expanding her people. As soon as she received the plane's coordinates, she set things in motion.
Spore Shuttles were specialized Star Sea Spores. Before, they had been cast far and wide in hopes of getting lucky. This time, with a clear target, the spores leaped straight toward the plane.
A Spore Shuttle was the equivalent of a Star Sea Warship, except that it carried various spores instead of a legion.
Inside the Spore Shuttle, the Spore Queen, Luna, had brought along the Goblin Spores she had developed over the years. They would be the vanguard sent to land on the plane.
Medivih shamelessly asked the Spore Queen to teach him about the Spore Shuttle's spatial jumps, hoping to use that knowledge as a foundation for developing Alchemy Shuttles and Star Sea Warships.
He couldn't put all his eggs in one basket. Star-traveling Mage
