Under the Light Covenant, the Gods were forbidden from interfering in wars between the myriad races.
But striking down evil was permitted. The Goddess of Fire Prayer had every right to let her clergy protect her people.
The birth of the Nightmares ushered in a great expansion of the Fire Prayer faith. Those protected by the Fire-Praying Spirit Witches began worshipping the Goddess of Fire Prayer.
Aside from the Odyssey City-State colony, the entire Gamma Plane was a land of faith for the Goddess of Fire Prayer.
The kingdoms there also had plenty of Light Churches and Night Churches. Fire-Praying Spirit Witches and Light Priests serving as Night Watchmen worked together to protect the people.
The Goddess of Fire Prayer didn't reject other faiths. She meekly played sidekick to the Goddess of Light and the Goddess of Night, and profited from it.
The Gamma Plane was only one example. In other Block Cities with Fire-Prayer Churches, the Fire-Praying Spirit Witches helped the skeleton legions defend the cities every night.
Helping people in need was the best way to promote a faith. The faith of the Goddess of Fire Prayer spread widely across the many planes ruled by the Wrynn Family. Even some of the Gevot People had begun worshipping her.
The Goddess of Fire Prayer hadn't forgotten those who helped spread her faith. She often gave the Archbishop of Fire Prayer revelations to organize large-scale Fire-Prayer Festivals in thanks to Medivh.
