Under the influence of the Nightmares, the Ice-Snow Elf Tribe didn't intend to put all their eggs in one basket. They sent some of their people to live alongside the Frost Dragon Clan in the West Winter Mountains.

True to their name, the Ice-Snow Elves were a colder, more aloof sort of Elf.

It was said that Elves hadn't always been like this. They had gradually grown indifferent to such matters because they loathed how other races enslaved and abused them.

The Elves' aloofness only stoked other races' desire to conquer and tame them.

Even after slave hunting had sparked countless wars, other races remained undeterred. They forgot their pain as soon as their wounds healed, then resumed hunting Elf maids with ever greater audacity.

Elves captured by Slave Hunter Groups had no good end in a slaver's hands. The haughty, aloof Elves were broken by ruthless methods of taming.

When the Elf armies came to fight, they would see the broken Elf maids, who knew only how to please their masters. Their hatred for those responsible left them with lasting scars, making them even more indifferent to such matters.

Many Elf tribes only came together briefly when they urgently needed to reproduce, quickly completing the process before going their separate ways again.

Some Elf tribes even skipped the process altogether.

They created Wells of Life, where some of their people extracted Seeds of Life and placed them in the wells.

The Wells of Life served as seed banks for the tribes. The Elves of those tribes were all born from the wells.

Some went even further and did away with the need to combine Seeds of Life.

These Elf tribes created Trees of Life, imbuing them with their own life force so the trees could clone and reproduce Elves.
