As the God-Forged Mecha Legion assembled Block Cities, Mycelial Spores spread across the ground and through the air over the Eastern Continent.
Spore Towers sprouted from the ground one after another, forming a tight defensive line.

When the Abyssal Demon army tore through the Plane Barrier and descended upon the Eastern Continent, the Block City's anti-aircraft fire and the Spore Towers outside it joined forces, blanketing the sky with a barrage.
"Never-ending, are you? I'll try a different direction!"
The Abyssal Demon army suffered heavy casualties in its frontal assault on the Eastern Continent, but achieved nothing.
The Abyssal Demon generals changed their tactics. They stopped descending over the land, where the firepower was fierce.
Instead, they descended over the Heaven-Gifted Sea, landing on the Eastern Continent from all directions.
"Damn it, they have anti-aircraft guns underwater too?"
The Abyssal Demon generals soon felt their hearts sink. The waters surrounding the Eastern Continent were filled with Undersea District Block Cities. As soon as they approached the coast, they came under fierce bombardment.
The underwater anti-aircraft positions were devious. They deliberately waited until the demons were close to shore, when the coastal guns could reach them too, before opening fire.
Caught in the crossfire, the Demon Legion was trapped with no way forward or back.
"Whoever wants this place can have it. I'm done fighting!"
The Abyssal Demon Lords attacking the Eastern Continent were nothing like the single-minded Abyssal Demon Dragon Lord.
Once they realized the Eastern Continent was an impossible target, they decisively withdrew and disengaged at high altitude.
The demons on other continents were picking off easy targets and harvesting souls. Why join them? What was the point of stubbornly fighting over this hard nut to crack?
The four continents that had already been under enormous defensive
