"These people really can't be trusted."
The Star Alliance split apart, turning into hundreds of alliances, large and small.
The Gods of Light were speechless. Was this the new order of the Star Sea that the Gods and the various races' God Rank powerhouses had sworn to protect?
For the past few hundred years, the Star Alliance had seemed to be doing a decent job. The Gods of Light had thought that after a thousand years of secluded reflection, its members had gained some wisdom.
The Star Alliance was just a makeshift outfit, though, falling apart at the first touch.
Over an Origin Plane with no backing, it had fractured amid infighting.
Previously, everyone had worked together because they shared the same goals and interests.
But when it came to dividing up something that affected their own interests, the Star Alliance Gods could no longer suppress their selfishness.
They all wanted their own factions to have a few more Gods. With no one willing to yield, only force could settle the matter. In the end, the Abyssal Demon Gods seized the opportunity to attack, leaving everything in chaos.
Before the Goddess of Light went to sleep in the Abyss, she had summoned the Gods and the various races' God Rank powerhouses and told them she was returning the Star Sea to them to protect on their own. Clearly, it hadn't been a good decision. These people were hopeless.
"Perhaps my sister saw this coming long ago. The Star Sea was destined to descend into chaos, with light and darkness intertwined."
Moon Goddess Selene felt that the Goddess of Light couldn't possibly have failed to see what these people were like. Otherwise, she wouldn't have kept them in check and prevented them from interfering with the order of the Star Sea.
