The Purgatory Demon Gods and the Star Sea Gods were deeply disappointed. They had thought the Light Alliance was formidable, standing firm no matter how much the Abyssal Demons wore them down.
It seemed they had overestimated the Light Alliance. The alliance had been bleeding all along; it had only pretended nothing was wrong.
Perhaps that was what had happened back then, too. If they had held out a little longer, the Light Alliance might have abandoned its defense of the Gem Dragon Plane.
If the Gem Dragon Plane had fallen into their hands, it would have increased their strength considerably.
Then perhaps they would never have been humiliated by Slaanesh.
Of course, that was only wishful thinking. The Purgatory Demons and the Star Sea All Spirits had suffered enormous losses back then. Even if the Light Alliance had suffered just as badly, both sides would have been left battered.

Thinking of it that way, the Purgatory Demon Gods and the Star Sea Gods didn't feel quite so bad about it.
It would have been even better if they hadn't been manipulated back then and had kept their strength intact.
But there were no ifs!
"Is this a trap, or is it really as it seems?"
The Light Alliance had slowed its offensive, and Slaanesh hadn't blindly sent in reinforcements to attack them.
The Light Alliance's abrupt move made Slaanesh feel that something wasn't quite right.
If the Light Alliance was deliberately
