"The Star Sea Rules are bolstering the Primal Abyss. It seems we've been underestimated—even the Star Sea Rules think we're no match for the Light Alliance!"
A few hundred years passed in the blink of an eye. The Light Alliance and the Primal Abyss remained deadlocked, with neither side gaining the upper hand.
Yet certain subtle moves by the Star Sea Rules hinted that the Primal Abyss was no match for the Light Alliance and needed to grow stronger to maintain the balance between light and darkness.
There were two reasons the Star Sea Rules might think this. First, the Primal Abyss had accomplished nothing on the Light Alliance's territory, while the Light Alliance was conquering territory on the Abyssal Demons' home ground.
Second, there was the difference in their overall strength. Though the Light Alliance hadn't gained any new high-level Origin Planes over the past few hundred years, the number of low-level Thirteenth Rank Origin Planes had increased considerably, and several more mid-level Fourteenth Rank Origin Planes had appeared.
Every new Origin Plane, or every Origin Plane that leapt to a higher rank, could produce a large number of ascension slots.
The Light Alliance had already turned those ascension slots into a large new contingent of God Rank powerhouses.
When it came to the overall growth in the number of God Rank powerhouses, the Primal Abyss was far behind the Light Alliance.
Though the additional God Rank powerhouses from the past few hundred years weren't enough to affect the balance between light and darkness,
small differences added up. If this uneven growth continued, sooner or later the Light Alliance would overwhelm the Primal Abyss.
The Star Sea Rules couldn't stand to see the balance between light and darkness disrupted, so they'd once again resorted to covert meddling, improving conditions
