Before them stretched a vast starry sky, not far off hung a massive planet shimmering in red, orange, yellow, and countless other hues, with two faint moons orbiting nearby.
"Beep~"
"Receiving a guidance signal," Babata said. "The ship will follow the signal to the planet's docking port—signal received. We're heading to C-level zone."
In the enormous spaceport, the black ship descended slowly and finally stopped at its designated spot.
The hatch opened, and Luo Feng led Yin Congyang and the others, along with two Flowing Silver Guards, flying out of the cabin.
After brushing off the port manager with a single Ganwu Coin, the group quickly flew toward Qiu Long City, thousands of kilometers away. Qiu Long City was the supercity that managed and operated the entire Qiu Long Planet.
Walking along the city streets, the group found all kinds of aliens fascinating, but Hong and Thunder God possessed extraordinary mental fortitude, and Yin Congyang and Luo Feng were equally resolute. Even if curious, they wouldn't show the awkwardness of country folk entering a big city.
"I've logged into the planet's service website. The Black Dragon Mountain Empire's administrative building on Qiu Long Planet is about two hundred kilometers from here," Babata's voice rang in their ears. "Your first task is to get your citizenship."
The four shot into the air, flying about a hundred meters above the ground. Over a dozen minutes later, they reached the Black Dragon Mountain administrative building, which loomed like a massive black dragon coiled around a mountain.
They took the elevator to the 32nd floor. Under the receptionist's surprised gaze, the four spent 200 Black Dragon Coins each and became citizens of the Black Dragon Mountain Empire, a mid-tier cosmic nation.
Next, they rushed to the Virtual Universe Company's Qiu Long Planet branch, over a hundred kilometers away, to open Virtual Universe Network accounts. On the way, Babata briefed them on humanity's five superpowers: the Giant Axe Dojo, the Virtual Universe Company, the Universe Mercenary Alliance, the Universe Galaxy Bank, and the Universe First Bank.
After opening their accounts, the four also purchased Consciousness Sensing Helmets and some Anonymous Helmets.
In a restaurant in Qiu Long City, inside a private room.
After finishing at the Virtual Universe Company branch, Yin Congyang and the others returned directly to Qiu Long City and found a restaurant to eat.
"Now we only have one essential thing left—joining the Ganwu Dojo," Luo Feng said while eating, addressing the other three. "Then let's figure out what else we need to do. I had Babata check—we're not ready to become Earth's lord yet. The key issue is—we don't have money!"
"Yeah, for now there's nothing urgent we need to buy. If anything, we could look into treasures that boost Planetary Level evolution, but like Luo Feng said, we're broke," Hong added, sipping an alien drink.
Yin Congyang and Thunder God both nodded. Even if they were wealthy back on Earth, that money was useless in the cosmos—they couldn't spend it.
Luo Feng hesitated, then glanced at Yin Congyang.
Yin Congyang found the look baffling. "What are you looking at me for? I don't have money either, you know that. I still don't even have a proper Force Weapon or telekinetic weapon, let alone any cosmic currency."
Luo Feng sighed. "I have two telekinetic weapons. One is the Sky-Escaping Shuttle—Brother Hong knows about that. The other is called the Arc Blade Disc, which Babata gave me. I was thinking of giving the Arc Blade Disc to Congyang, but he's always focused on the martial path and uses an axe, so he doesn't have a strong need for it. That's why I'm hesitating—we're really short on cosmic currency right now. With money, we could buy treasures, slaves, and better protect Earth. I had Babata check—if we sell the Arc Blade Disc, it's worth even more than the Sky-Escaping Shuttle. But then I can't give it to Congyang..."
Yin Congyang paused, feeling a touch of gratitude. "Luo Feng, there's no need. Honestly, I never expected anything from you. Don't act like you owe me. But you've got a point—we do need money now. Whether it's buying what we need or training in the Virtual Universe, it all costs a lot. Besides, we brothers finally made it to the cosmos—are we just here to sightsee?"
"So," Yin Congyang took a sip of his drink, the flavor hitting him hard, "if you're not using the Arc Blade Disc yourself, I say sell it. That'll give us our first pot of gold and let us develop faster. With our progress and strength, I'm sure we won't have to worry about money later. Once we're rich, what good thing can't we buy? I could buy an Arc Blade Disc and toss one away, haha... Brother Hong, Brother Lei, what do you think?"
Everyone laughed at Yin Congyang's words. After thinking it over, it made sense. Hong and Thunder God exchanged a glance. "Congyang's reasoning is sound. I agree too. Selling a telekinetic weapon we don't urgently need will help us more."
Thunder God nodded beside him. "Once we break through to Star Level, we should find other ways to make money. So right now, what we lack is that first pot of gold..."
Yin Congyang continued, "Babata said the Virtual Universe encompasses everything. It's not just for spending money—there must be ways to earn it too. We can look into that. Oh, and I remember Luo Hua has a good grasp of securities and funds. The model might not be the same, but the principles don't change—it's always a direction worth trying. Like I said, we need money. Without it, you can't even enter the Virtual Universe!"
Luo Feng finally made up his mind. "Alright, I'll go with your idea. We'll sell the Arc Blade Disc right away and live it up a bit."
In his heart, he thought that once his Earthling clone advanced to Planetary Level Stage 7, his telekinetic power would reach Star Level Stage 1. Then he could claim Hu Yanbo's first inheritance, which should be worth more than the Arc Blade Disc. At that point, he could buy treasures for his brothers more purposefully.
After finalizing their plan, they finished eating quickly. Then, with the other three standing guard, Luo Feng entered the Virtual Universe to look up relevant information and data.
It took over an hour, with Babata's help, before Luo Feng had all the info he wanted.
"Let's go. First, we sell the Arc Blade Disc, then we go on a big shopping spree. Before we leave, we'll join the Ganwu Dojo." Luo Feng led the way with high spirits.
The four arrived at a shop called the All-Things Pavilion, which had a good reputation and ample stock.
When the owner learned Luo Feng wanted to sell a third-tier telekinetic weapon, he came out personally. "Sir, which telekinetic weapon are you selling? Could you show it to me first?"
Luo Feng took out the Arc Blade Disc. The owner pulled out a scanner, swept it over the disc, and nodded. "It's a standard Arc Blade Disc, good materials, undamaged. I can offer you 15 billion Black Dragon Coins."
"18 billion. That's my bottom line," Luo Feng said firmly. "The normal price for an Arc Blade Disc in the Black Dragon Mountain Empire is 21 billion. Besides, I plan to buy a lot from your shop. If your stock and quality weren't good, I wouldn't have chosen you."
The All-Things Pavilion owner pondered for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, as the guest says. Let's draw up the contract!"
None of the four had bank cards, so they each opened one at the Universe Galaxy Bank. The transaction was completed quickly.
The Universe Galaxy Bank in the Black Dragon Mountain Empire only served clients with deposits over 100 million Black Dragon Coins. Luo Feng transferred 500 million Black Dragon Coins to each of the other three. It was the first time any of them had held so much usable cosmic currency, and even Luo Feng, with over 10 billion in cash, felt a thrill.
Back at the All-Things Pavilion, after discussion, they decided to buy "Green Wave Marrow," the best treasure for strengthening the body at the Planetary Level.
After purchasing enough Green Wave Marrow for everyone, they followed their plan and headed to the slave market. The slaves there ranged from Planetary Level to Star Level Stage 9, and even Universe Level slaves could be ordered on request. This reality hit them like a bucket of ice water, dousing the fiery excitement from their sudden wealth—the cosmos was brutal.
Luo Feng bought over a thousand slaves, including sixteen at Star Level, and had them sent directly to the ship for binding. He initially offered to assign a few Star Level slaves to each of the others, but they refused, leaving Luo Feng to command this slave army.
Then they rushed to the Ganwu Dojo to register. After smoothly signing up and paying the fees, they hurried back to the ship, lifted off, and left Qiu Long Starport.
Moments later, they reached light speed and shuttled into the Dark Universe.
Entering the control room, Babata locked the hatch, and they all connected to the Virtual Universe.
In the Virtual Universe, on the Ganwu Continent, Black Dragon Mountain Island.
Crowds of all kinds flowed through the bustling streets, people occasionally appearing out of thin air. Yin Congyang and the others materialized just as abruptly.
"Mr. Yin Congyang, your Universe Galaxy Bank account has been detected. Would you like to bind it?" a gentle voice sounded in Yin Congyang's mind.
"Bind."
They all appeared on the street at once. Yin Congyang and the other two were entering the Virtual Universe for the first time, finding everything novel. Luo Feng went off as planned to buy a second base and the metals he needed—though the others didn't know about the metal purchases.
Yin Congyang, Hong, and Thunder God wandered around Black Dragon Mountain Island, asking about and observing whatever caught their interest, using the little sprites on their shoulders to look up basic information.
Luo Feng quickly finalized the second base deal and, with Babata's help, secured the metal formula combinations. He then joined the others in their stroll around Black Dragon Mountain Island.
A few days later, the ship reached Bailan Planet. They left some slaves there to guard the survival base. Luo Feng bought two castles, each covering a million square meters—one for Bailan Planet, the other for Earth. With over a thousand slaves now, they needed the space.
With everything done, the ship lifted off, shuttled through the cosmos again, and returned to Earth.
