The next day, Kekechi personally came to Yin Congyang's door and handed him the SS-Type Bloodline Evolution Agent. He also left ten Moya Crystals, reminding Yin Congyang to absorb them as soon as possible after using the Evolution Agent, since they would improve its effects.
These ten Moya Crystals were one of the basic resources available to the students. They could receive ten for free every month; if that wasn't enough, they would have to exchange Student Points for more. The same went for some of the cultivation manuals they would need later, including various basic methods for training their spiritual force and Origin Force.
Yin Congyang looked at the Evolution Agent in his hand, ordered the villa's intelligent system to close the doors, and settled into a comfortable position. He jabbed the syringe into the muscle of his arm and slowly injected the colorful liquid.
As the Evolution Agent took effect, waves of pain that seemed to reach down to his bones swept through his body. The fluctuations in his Dantian suddenly intensified at an unprecedented rate, which eased the pain somewhat. Combined with the Evolution Agent's power, these fluctuations began a fierce genetic transformation and evolution of Yin Congyang's body.
After more than an hour, the transformation was complete, and the fluctuations in his Dantian gradually slowed. Yin Congyang felt as though his whole body were floating, wonderfully relaxed.
He sat cross-legged and took out the Moya Crystals, beginning to absorb their life force. His physical strength rapidly increased. After using seven Moya Crystals, he advanced to Planetary Level Four and went straight to its peak. After a period of consolidation, he would be able to advance to Level Five. His spiritual force rose in step with his physical strength, reaching the peak of Level Four as well.
The SS-Type Bloodline Evolution Agent Yin Congyang had used was developed by the Virtual Universe Company. It could give someone the bloodline potential to reach Universe Level after adulthood. Of course, its effects varied from person to person. Some people simply couldn't tolerate it. That was why, every hundred years, there were still occasional students in the training camp who couldn't break through to Star Level. They might manage it later, but their potential would already be exhausted, making it all but impossible for them to reach Universe Level.
A few days later, Kekechi delivered the basic resources for the Class A students. They included a Small Storage Ring containing a Standard Tier 2 Force Battle Suit made by the Virtual Universe Company, which was considerably better than ordinary Tier 2 Force Battle Suits on the market, and a Tier 3 Axe-type Force Weapon. Yin Congyang had previously submitted his weapon preferences to the Training Camp Intelligent System, which had selected and issued an axe that would be enough for him to use until Universe Level.
The ring also contained a Tier 3 Spiritual Force Weapon—the Xinling Disk. It was said to have been designed and made over a hundred million eras ago by a World Lord from the Virtual Universe Company named Xinling. It was best suited to elites from Planetary Level to Star Level and had been in use for over a hundred million eras. Every Spiritual Master in each new Elite Training Camp received one.
The Xinling Disk was well-rounded, with capabilities for attack, defense, and flight. None of these was top-tier, but the disk was exceptionally balanced, and its requirements for use weren't very high. That made it ideal for Planetary Level and Star Level users. To learn how to use it, students had to exchange Student Points for the relevant instruction in the Virtual Universe's training camp.
In the days before the camp opened, students arrived one after another. Class A filled up with ten students, Class B had thirty, Class C sixty, and Class D around a hundred. The entire Planetary Level Special-Class Elite Training Camp had only about two hundred students. They said the Star Level Special-Class Elite Training Camp on the other hemisphere had ten times as many.
The population of the entire Ganwu Universe Kingdom numbered in the trillions. Most people were still below Planetary Level, and cultivators became rarer at every higher level, yet the number of Planetary Level and Star Level cultivators was still enormous. The Virtual Universe Company and the Giant Axe Dojo spared no effort in searching for and nurturing talented individuals.
Only around two hundred Special-Class Elite talents had been found over a hundred years. They were the best of the best—no exaggeration, they were top talents among Planetary Level cultivators. After a hundred years of grueling training and trials, many of them would advance to Star Level. Their success rate was quite high: almost everyone who reached Star Level would go on to break through to Universe Level.
Once they reached Universe Level, they graduated. Those with greater talent went to the Core Layer, while those whose potential had run out were assigned to various branches or chose to serve their people as warriors in the Outer-Domain Battlefield.
During those days, Yin Congyang didn't stay cooped up at home. He often went out to mingle and chat with the other training camp members, becoming a familiar face. The other Class A students were all at least Planetary Level Seven. Five were Planetary Level Nine, three were Planetary Level Eight, and one was Planetary Level Seven.
On the morning of Yin Congyang's tenth day at the training camp, all the students gathered in the enormous Public Training Hall. The intelligent system had informed everyone of the opening time and warned them not to be late. They stood quietly in the hall, waiting for the instructors.
Led by a purple-haired woman, the four instructors slowly walked onto the stage. The woman swept her gaze across the students and spoke in a cold voice. "For the next hundred years, most of you will spend your time at this training camp, where the four of us will train you. I have only one requirement: obedience! Is that clear?"
Her cool voice rang through the hall, but the students' reply was uneven. "Understood."
"Did you all skip breakfast? Stand up straight and show some spirit!" A hint of anger and a powerful pressure crept into her cool voice as she shouted again, "Is that clear?"
"Understood!" This time, their reply was perfectly in unison.
The purple-haired woman nodded in satisfaction. "Let me introduce everyone. This is Instructor Golden Lion, who will teach you combat techniques. This is Instructor White Eagle, who will teach you the techniques of a Mental Master Controller. This is Instructor Green Bat, who will teach you to improve your neural response and movement techniques. I'm Purple-Robed Dragon Lady. I'm responsible for general matters, Illusion Techniques, and theoretical knowledge about the various races and factions in the universe—their traits, strengths, weaknesses, and relations as allies or enemies."
Purple-Robed Dragon Lady continued, "Combat techniques, Controller techniques, movement, and neural response will be split roughly equally between the Virtual Universe and the real world. Most Illusion Technique training will take place in the Virtual Universe, with a little in the real world. All theoretical courses will be taught in the Virtual Universe. It can simulate the appearances and auras of almost every common race in the universe, which will greatly aid your studies. Your schedules will be sent to you. They won't be identical; each person's training will be tailored to their strengths. Pure martial artists, for example, will study only combat techniques, neural response, and movement. They'll occasionally spar with Illusion Technique users and Mental Master Controllers to gain experience... Now, we come to the most important part of the opening ceremony: a battle against an instructor!"
The students couldn't help but erupt in an uproar. All four instructors were Universe Level Nine, utterly unbeatable opponents for students who were all at Planetary Level.
"When you fight an instructor, you must show your very best. The Training Camp Intelligent System will judge you based on your performance." Purple-Robed Dragon Lady's cool voice seemed to carry a strange power that silenced everyone. "Instructor Golden Lion, if you please."
Instructor Golden Lion strode to the center of the training ground and shouted, "Everyone, spread out and come up in order, one at a time. This'll be quick. A1, you're first..."
A1 was a Planetary Level Nine Mental Master Controller. He stepped forward and took his place a hundred meters from Instructor Golden Lion. He took out the Xinling Disk, and a swarm of thin, dagger-like blades flew out to attack the instructor.
Instructor Golden Lion suppressed his strength to Star Level One and unleashed his speed. The fight was over in a minute. A2 stepped forward and was defeated in the same amount of time. Then came A3...
Yin Congyang was A4. After Instructor Golden Lion knocked A3 back with a swipe of his claw, Yin Congyang took out the Heaven-Opening Axe. More than ten blades flew from the Xinling Disk on his back and attacked first, but Instructor Golden Lion casually knocked them aside one by one. Yin Congyang brought the Heaven-Opening Axe down with the power of his Three-Law Domain, but Instructor Golden Lion deflected each blow. As the minute mark approached, Instructor Golden Lion was about to knock him back with a swipe of his claw when Yin Congyang's full-force Spiritual Impact struck his soul. The blow didn't injure him, but it interrupted his attack and let Yin Congyang dodge the claw. Instructor Golden Lion then lunged forward again and sent him flying to the wall with a swipe—farther than any of the previous students. Evidently, Yin Congyang's last move had cost him some face in front of the other three instructors, so he'd put a little more force into it.
Instructor Green Bat and Instructor White Eagle snickered. Instructor Golden Lion glared back at them in annoyance.
Of course, he wasn't truly furious. This was an instructor's assessment, and every student was expected to fight with all their strength and show their best. There was nothing wrong with that.
Besides, students in previous cohorts had done the same. Instructor Golden Lion was an easygoing man and wasn't the type to hold a grudge. Yin Congyang hadn't spent much time with him, but after their few brief encounters, he felt confident that the instructor wouldn't resent him for it. That was why he'd dared to show off his powerful soul.
He had another reason for doing so: to attract Purple-Robed Dragon Lady's attention. His soul was powerful, but he had no secret technique that could unleash its strength, so his combat ability with spiritual force and Illusion Techniques was poor. Sure enough, when he used Spiritual Impact, Purple-Robed Dragon Lady's eyes lit up. She glanced at Yin Congyang without drawing attention to herself.
The instructor battles continued without incident. Everyone else was knocked back by Instructor Golden Lion at the one-minute mark.
Soon, more than three hours had passed, and everyone had fought Instructor Golden Lion for a minute.
"All right. The Training Camp Intelligent System has finished collecting the information," Purple-Robed Dragon Lady said coldly. "Everyone, return to your quarters. The Training Camp Intelligent System will send you your courses and schedules shortly. You must follow your schedule and be on time. Arriving late or leaving early will count as an absence. The first time you're late, you'll lose 50 Student Points. The second time, you'll lose 500. If you don't have enough points, your balance will go negative until you pay it back. The third time, you'll be demoted to an outer member, and all the resources you were given—including the Bloodline Evolution Agent—will be taken back..."
Every student felt a chill in their heart and silently committed her words to memory.
