Joerger felt his mind go completely blank.

What were the odds of something like that happening? And what were the odds of it happening to a team he coached?
What were the odds of a player running a high fever making that shot?
Every question pointed to the same answer—there was no way that shot could go in!
Yet right before Joerger's eyes, that "impossible" shot dropped through the net. It went in!
The shock of that moment was perhaps the greatest of Joerger's entire career.
While Joerger's mind was still blank, the Grizzlies players around him had already rushed onto the court, charging toward Link.
There were cheers and sighs throughout the arena. Clearly, even some Raptors fans couldn't resist the sheer magic of that ultra-long-range game-winner.
"Did you see what just happened!?" Beside Joerger, Snyder looked like a movie villain who had just discovered that the protagonist had ruined his master plan.
"I'm not sure, Quin. The... the ball went in!? How did Link make a shot like that!?" Joerger swallowed and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
"I don't know either, but Link did it, Dave. He won it with an unbelievable game-winner while running a high fever. That guy will go down in history, Dave. We are the witnesses of Link's era."
The two coaches stood frozen in place, but the players were far less composed.
When they all swarmed toward Link, they had originally planned to pile on top of him. But then they remembered that Link was still sick with a fever and might not be able to handle such an intense celebration.
So instead, everyone lifted Link over their heads.
Lying atop his teammates, Link still raised his right arm high.
