The Contract Finally Arrives, Let's Talk About the Extra Updates Everyone Cares About.

Finally, this afternoon I received the notice of status change—the contract is officially signed. This also means the real battle for this book has begun.

No more nonsense, first let's talk about the update schedule for this book. Many readers have complained about two chapters a day, but two chapters is only temporary, because having too many words during the new book period is bad for recommendations. If I end up on the shelves without any good recommendations, there will definitely be losses.

But don't worry, that doesn't mean there won't be extra updates. I definitely can't let everyone vote for nothing. The number of bonus chapters will be released all at once on the day the book goes on the shelves.

That's right, all at once.

At first, I told everyone that on the day of going on the shelves, there would be at least 5 chapters. Now that's changed—not 5 chapters, but starting from 1. No, I misspoke—it's doubled, starting from 10 chapters.

On the day of going on the shelves, at least 10 chapters. Then for every 5,000 recommendation votes, one bonus chapter. As of now, the number of recommendation votes is 6,824, which means one bonus chapter—10+1 equals 11 chapters on the day of going on the shelves. There's no upper limit on bonus chapters from recommendation votes; however many votes there are by the day of going on the shelves, that's how many bonus chapters I'll add. For example, if it's 20,000, then on top of the baseline 10 chapters, I'll add 4 more.

Now that the contract is signed, it means tipping is available. So for every cumulative 10,000 Qidian coins in tips, I'll add one bonus chapter on the day of going on the shelves. The cumulative amount isn't per person, but the total sum of tips from all readers. As of now, I've received 2,600 in tips (special thanks here to readers Qi Yu Gong Cun, Hu Tu Lao Me, and Guang Xiang Jie for their immediate tips). When the cumulative amount reaches 10,000 in tips, I'll add one bonus chapter, stacking with the recommendation votes, also with no upper limit.

For example, if on the day of going on the shelves there are 20,000 recommendation votes and 20,000 in tips, that's 4+2, adding 6 chapters. Plus the baseline 10 chapters, that's 16 chapters on the day of going on the shelves.

So, will it be 20 chapters? 30 chapters? Or 50 chapters on the day of going on the shelves? I'm fine with any of it—it all depends on how awesome you all are! From now on, during the daily two-chapter updates, I'll tally the data, calculate the update volume for that day, and announce it in the author's note at the end of the chapter. I won't go back on my word.
