Too Much Time

Kevin Durant stood at center court and bowed to the stands on all sides.

There were only 2 seconds left, and the Thunder led by 2. Without question, at this point, a 2-point gap was nearly impossible to overcome.

Nearly every camera in the arena was trained on Durant. If the Thunder ultimately won this game, this would undoubtedly become one of the most iconic showboating shots in NBA history.

Thunder fans exhausted their lungs cheering for Durant. They all knew Durant was not someone who liked to show off. But after hitting a game-winner over Link, he had to show off at least once, no matter what!

After finishing his bow, Durant raised his right arm high and walked off the court with the bearing of a victor. Though the Grizzlies still had 2 seconds left, Durant was not afraid.

Two seconds passed in the blink of an eye.

If the Grizzlies wanted to win outright, they had to run a three-point play. If they went for 2, then even if they made it, the Thunder would not lose.

And no matter which option they chose, it would be difficult to complete it within 2 seconds.

There had been plenty of game-winners completed in 2 seconds throughout NBA history, but given the Grizzlies' current situation, achieving that goal would undoubtedly be very difficult.

First, the Grizzlies' choice would certainly be Link. In crucial possessions, the Grizzlies' plays were often not very deceptive. They only needed to lock Link down, and the Grizzlies would struggle even to inbound the ball.

Second, Link had already missed on the previous crucial possession, which meant his shooting touch had begun to decline. And Durant would never let Link get anywhere near the basket. He did not dare guarantee he could withstand Link for
