"How long was I unconscious?"
The light inside the cabin was gentle, softly illuminating Tai Yin's handsome, somewhat dazed face.
Only a faint red mark remained between his brows. It would probably fade before long.
"The Candle Dragon opened its eyes once, then closed them again," Xiang Bei said from the stern cabin.
His build was so enormous that simply sitting there took up half the cabin. With the World-Covering Halberd laid across it, he could barely stretch his legs.
It made the already cramped cabin feel even tighter.
Tai Yin was injured, so Xiang Bei couldn't crowd him. He could only crowd himself instead.
"One day and one night..." Tai Yin murmured. He carefully examined his body, feeling his strength restored to its peak. He knew, of course, that Xiang Bei had used precious medicine to save him.
He closed his eyes and sighed. "That really was an astonishing shot."
"It surprised me too," Xiang Bei said.
As he answered, he lowered his head and wiped the halberd's edge with a piece of velvet.
The mighty, imposing man moved with surprising gentleness.
Tai Yin quietly reflected for a moment. When he opened his eyes, the image of that shot crossing the sea had already shattered in his mind.
