Reporting in to all the readers.
Work has begun.
The new volume's title has been decided—World-Honored One.
Its opening words are: "Unfettered, blazing, dignified, renowned, noble, auspicious."
This title feels a little too grand. I'm not sure I can handle it, so I've been hesitating over it.
After all, it's better to play it safe in the later stages.
But after considering several themes, I still decided to write it this way. (As for those themes, including the plotlines I designed before but eventually abandoned, we can talk about them after the novel is finished—about why I made those choices.)
Sure enough, that first flutter of the heart is the greatest flutter of the heart.
No amount of weighing and balancing afterward can compare.
It is currently 9:44. I've washed up, eaten a piece of bread, finalized the new volume, and written a 2,029-word outline for it.
Clocking in for work officially.
I'm still brimming with the urge to write. (Though of course, I still feel like the holiday passed far too quickly...)
Tomorrow—May 19—we'll meet again with a new volume and a new chapter.
Thank you all for waiting.
