Sweet Spring was water of utter purity, a spring of supreme sweetness, a marsh of moral purity. It had long since dried up from the world and had not been seen again for ages, for the virtues of old had been cast aside; later generations inherited the Dharma, but not the worthies.
There was a Supernatural Power in the world called [Heavenly One True Water]: a single drop could transform into rivers, seas, and lakes.
And now, Zuo Guangshu had returned rivers and seas to their source!
This drop of Sweet Spring water, this phoenix tear, was not a Supernatural Power, yet surpassed one.
When it pressed against Sa Shihan's face and touched his brow, time seemed to freeze. Most of the spectators in the stands had widened their eyes, wholly focused on this final chapter of the battle.
Brilliant light burst forth from Sa Shihan's brow!
The two powers collided before his brow. The phoenix tear could not fall, and the brilliant light could not emerge.
Within the endless blaze, Dao Script wriggled like darting tadpoles. It braced against that phoenix tear, preventing Zuo Guangshu's index finger from advancing further.
And the brilliant light itself spread through Sa Shihan's Dao body.
From brow to eyes, then to the seven apertures, then to the limbs.
Every strand of his hair, every inch of his skin, became fabric woven from light.
At first glance, Zuo Guangshu seemed to be holding a phoenix tear at his fingertip, touching a full moon.
Sa Shihan radiated boundless light and cold.
The starlight scattered by the phoenix tear was also drawn by spiritual awareness, rapidly interweaving through the void to weave a vast and misty [Water Virtue Heavenly Master Banner].
The instant this banner rose, surging waters roared, with tidal sounds from all eight directions.
