Background

Feng Qingzhu is the daughter of Feng Buping, leader of the Green Bamboo Gang. After her mother died, Feng Buping blamed her birth for his wife's declining health, neglected Qingzhu, and favored her younger sister. Her wet nurse was her remaining source of companionship until the nurse also died. 38 60

Seeking recognition through martial arts, Qingzhu observed Green Bamboo Gang disciples practicing the Dragon-Snake Staff Technique and independently created the Eighteen Green Bamboo Forms. Feng Buping dismissed her work as a ruined version of the gang's technique rather than recognizing its acupoint-focused principles. 38 60

Despite receiving no cultivation resources from her family, she reached the Meat Refining Realm by age eighteen. Her lack of access to elixirs explains why she accepted Lu Ming's Qi-Enhancing Pills in exchange for protecting him in the Iron Stake Area. 23 28 38
