Background / History
Wei Han joins Lu Ming’s Third Squad after ranking 89th in the recruit assessment. He initially regards Jiang Yue, ranked 108th and visibly exhausted, as someone who has sacrificed his future for a temporary result. Jiang Yue’s rapid recovery and near-simultaneous breakthrough into Level 1 force Wei Han to admit he misjudged him 73 76 77 80.
As the squad’s assassin, Wei Han takes part in its first live operations and the Regiment Championship. During the Hive assault, he and Han Qian breach the Broodmother’s defenses, but Second Squad’s Feiyu delivers the final blow. Wei Han credits Feiyu’s superior concealment and speed rather than claiming the kill was stolen. Their rivalry continues through an assassin duel in the championship 94 95 112 114.
After the Iron Sand Plains campaign, Wei Han earns a junior-officer rank as Third Squad’s members receive new assignments. When Jiang Yue forms an independent regiment, Wei Han chooses to remain with the G7 Legion: he wants to face danger without relying on Jiang Yue’s protection and still hopes to surpass him 203 204.
Appearance
Wei Han has a lean build, a handsome but usually cold face, and a sharp, watchful gaze 76 95 118.
- He is described holding both high-frequency daggers even while exhausted after a trial 118.
- A cut crosses his left cheek after the Hive battle 95.
Personality
Wei Han is guarded, calculating, and fiercely competitive. He values survival and preserving his fighting strength, which explains his early criticism of Jiang Yue’s apparent self-destruction. He can also assess his own shortcomings plainly: after the Hive mission, he accepts that Feiyu reached the Broodmother first because he was the better-concealed, faster assassin 73 95.
His loyalty becomes clearer in battle. He volunteers to face a Level 2 Heavy Guard Puppet alone so Jiang Yue can reach the championship’s central objective, and later declines a place in Jiang Yue’s regiment because he wants to develop his own Martial Path—not because their bond has ended 111 204.
Abilities & Skills
Stealth and Assassination
Wei Han specializes in approaching from blind spots and striking vulnerable points rather than meeting heavily armored opponents head-on 94 103.
- Tortoise-Breathing Mirage Art: Learns to suppress signs of his presence by controlling his breathing and heartbeat. The art is intended to conceal blood flow and body temperature as well 97.
- Precision strikes: Targets armor gaps, joints, energy conduits, and exposed nerves; he dismantles a Level 2 Heavy Guard Puppet by cutting its joint-mounted energy lines 103 111 173.
- Scouting: Takes point during Third Squad’s silent infiltration against Backlight, locating recent enemy activity ahead of the formation 134.
Speed and Limit Breaking
Wei Han uses speed to enter, strike, and escape before an opponent can respond. His movement becomes more than thirty percent faster than it was at his Level 1 breakthrough, while his reliable Limit Breaking burst grows from 0.2 to 0.3 seconds 80 88.
- In a spar, he concedes that Jiang Yue can outlast his Limit Breaking burst and would have killed him in a real fight once it ended 88.
- His Shadow Killing Machine mecha uses neural feedback to amplify his responses and support his Instant Step 168 169.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- High-frequency daggers and short blades — his principal close-combat weapons; he later carries two 1.2-meter ultrahigh-frequency vibrating blades 94 133.
- Customized stealth powered armor — fitted with a high-frequency blade for the Regiment Championship 98.
- Shadow Killing Machine — a streamlined, light- and radar-absorbing mecha built for speed rather than heavy protection 168.
Relationships
- Jiang Yue — former squadmate, rival, and respected friend. Wei Han admits his early misjudgment, fights beside him, and later chooses an independent path with Jiang Yue’s encouragement 77 111 204.
- Lu Ming — Third Squad commander and mentor. Lu Ming arranges Wei Han’s genetic treatment, selects a concealment art for him, and leaves him in charge during an absence 77 97 147.
- Feiyu — Second Squad assassin and Wei Han’s principal professional rival; their championship duel ends without resolving the rivalry 95 112 114.
- Tong Meng — Third Squad comrade whose heavy firepower complements Wei Han’s attacks from concealment 143 167.
