Background / History

Shaking Light Sacred Land is an ancient Eastern Wasteland power with authority deeply ingrained across the region. It has stood in the Southern Region for hundreds of thousands of years and governs dozens of subordinate kingdoms. Its periodic Immortal Seed selections draw hundreds of thousands of prospective disciples, including youths from its territories and rogue cultivators with inherited legacies. 43 51 107

Before Lin Yu joined it, Sacred Land cultivators operating in the Yan Kingdom collaborated with the Jiang Family to seize Earthlings and rogue cultivators as herb gatherers for the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land. They attempted to force Lin Yu into collecting Sacred Medicines as well. 34

Lin Yu defeated the Sacred Land's knights, then killed its previous Holy Son after luring him into a confrontation. The Holy Son's shattered life tablet confirmed his death, prompting Shaking Light to issue a large reward for Lin Yu's capture or death. 34 35 36

Lin Yu later entered the Sacred Land under the identity Yang Xuan, explicitly intending to contend for the Holy Son position and eventually succeed as Holy Lord.
