Danzo's Death!

Danzo pinched the end of the bandage around his fingertips and slowly pulled it loose.

One loop, two loops, three loops.

The bandage drifted down through the rain, revealing the right eye that had been sealed away for more than a decade. Three Tomoe, crimson as blood, slowly spinning.

Sasuke's Susanoo instinctively retreated half a step. Of course, he knew what that eye meant—Uchiha Shisui, Kotoamatsukami, the most powerful genjutsu capable of rewriting someone's will without them noticing. In Itachi's memories, Shisui had used that eye to turn countless enemies against one another, even causing Kirigakure's entire Anbu force to defect in an instant.

"Second Pillar," Danzo said in a low, steady voice, "you never had to come this far. If you had obediently stayed by Obito's side, if you had not pursued the truth about Itachi, perhaps you could have lived a few more years as an avenger."

His right eye abruptly widened, and the Three Tomoe began to spin faster.

"But you insisted on coming for me."

Sasuke gritted his teeth. Chakra surged wildly through his Susanoo, layering another defensive membrane over the Crow Tengu armor. His Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan locked onto Danzo's right eye, ready to withstand the coming genjutsu assault.

Invisible Dojutsu Power surged forth like a tidal wave.

A violent stabbing pain erupted deep inside Sasuke's mind, as though a red-hot iron spike had pierced through his eye socket into his skull. His vision began to warp; the rain, the sky, and Danzo's figure all blurred into indistinct patches of color. A searing agony burned through his eyes, and blood spilled from their corners, running down his cheeks and dripping onto Susanoo's Chakra shell.

But—this was all.

There was no sensation of his will being rewritten. No dazed feeling of altered memories. No eerie dissonance
