As his consciousness was enveloped by the shockwave produced by that collision of Causality, every input signal to his spatial perception channels was cut off in an instant, as though every interface through which he perceived external space had had its power severed at the source simultaneously. After that, he entered a suspended state with no direction, no distance, and no points of reference. He did not know which direction he was moving in, what speed he was moving at, or even whether that word applied to the process he was currently experiencing. He only knew that his existence itself still retained an outer contour that he could perceive—a boundary belonging to himself, the only thing he could confirm after losing all external references.
There was no light in that space.
It was not the absence of light in the sense of darkness. The very concept of light did not exist in that space. When his visual system attempted to function, it received blankness—not black blankness, but the inactive state displayed only when a system had received no input at all. His auditory system received no signals. His tactile system received no signals. His perception systems—including his Causality perception, origin perception, and Rice-Shaped Eye—were all unable to receive anything recognizable when he attempted to activate them.
