At the time, the Second Hokage had defeated the surrounding villages and thwarted the other countries' ambitions toward Konoha, giving Konoha a stable foundation for development.

Then, as the truth of those events was gradually uncovered, everyone realized that Yuya had worked with the shinobi villages of the Five Great Countries one by one through various means, dismantling their alliance and achieving victory without fighting.

Wasn't that far more impressive than the Second Hokage standing at the front and taking the Raikage's attacks head-on?

No one knew when it had begun, but people had come to love stories about those who operated from behind the scenes.

But really, if no one was out in the open holding the line, then all that behind-the-scenes talk was nonsense.

The Second Hokage had been the one holding the line at the front.

It was just a pity—looking over the Second Hokage's entire life, that was the only achievement he had to boast about.

As for everything else...

It could only be said that he was decent. Just decent.
