Konoha 67 and the Selection Begins

Naruto was not the only one making an unprecedented effort.

In fact, in this Hokage selection, basically every nominee had a chance, with the backing of various factions behind them.

Sasuke and Shisui were undoubtedly the Uchiha Clan and Police Force's top Hokage candidates.

Whichever of them made it into the final round would receive their full support.

Before that, it would depend on their own abilities.

Of course, while some were striving desperately for the position of Hokage, there were naturally others who had no interest in it.

Well, like Kakashi Hatake.

Konoha Hospital:

Holding a bouquet of carnations, Kakashi nervously straightened his clothes outside the hospital room.

After confirming that his attire was in order, Kakashi took a deep breath and pushed open the door...

"Hanare, I passed by the Yamanakas' place today... Aah! Why are you here?!"

Kakashi shouted the moment he saw Obito.

Obito curled his lip and dug at his ear.

At the side, Nohara Rin looked at Kakashi in displeasure. "Kakashi, keep it down! Hanare needs a quiet environment!"

Kakashi could only shut his mouth helplessly.

Then Nohara Rin walked over to Kakashi, snatched the carnations from his hand, and gave him a teasing look. "At least you're not completely clueless. Hanare is about to become a mother. Carnations are the best gift~"

As she spoke, Nohara Rin pushed both Kakashi and Obito straight out of the room. "All right, all right. Now it's time for us women to have a private chat. You two grown men can go find somewhere to talk and have a drink!"

And with that, Kakashi and Obito were shoved outside.

Kakashi and Obito stared at each other, wide-eyed.

Obito curled his lip, just about to say that it had been a while and suggest finding a place
