Even before the results came out, Yuya had known that Hinata would win this final election.

There was no other reason. Between Hinata and Shisui, their voter bases among the residents of Konoha's Inner City were the same among civilians, but when converted to the various ninja clans...

Thus, Yuya called the two of them to Konoha's conference room a day in advance.

"These are the final vote totals. Do either of you have any thoughts on the results?"

Yuya placed a report on the table and looked at Shisui and Hinata as he asked.

Hinata froze slightly, then looked at Shisui.

Shisui remained calm, his expression unchanged.

After thinking for a moment, Hinata spoke. "Maybe... I'll have more votes."

As soon as Hinata finished speaking, Shisui slightly turned his head to look at her.

Yuya was intrigued. "Oh? You think so... Then...

Shisui, what do you think?"

Hinata had been expecting Yuya to ask her why, so she puffed out her cheeks slightly.

Yuya smiled. "Looks like you two were prepared for this long ago.

Hmm, I won't tell you the answer. Why don't you both write down your reasons on paper, then see whether the other person's reason matches your own?"

On a whim, Yuya thought of that rather amusing anecdote from a historical romance.

But Shisui and Hinata had no intention of playing along with Yuya.

"It isn't surprising. After all, I won't receive votes from the ninja clans," Shisui said.

Hinata nodded. "That's right. And as far as I know, not many members of even the Uchiha Clan voted for Brother Shisui."

Yuya nodded, greatly pleased.
