Target: Black Feather Crow Physique: 8.9 Spirit: 0.9 Status: Low-tier Supernatural Being. Abilities: Iron Claws, Steel Skin Evaluation: Harak had once been a Mortal Bird, but now he possessed claws sharp enough to shred steel, defenses capable of withstanding all mundane sharp weapons, and swift speed that was considered excellent even among Low-tier Supernatural Beings.
His black feathers were incomparably hard, as though molded from metal.
Wang Ya tapped them with his hand. The dull bang bang sound proved just how formidable their defenses were.
Even without counting his wingspan, he was not much smaller than a calf.
"Caw, caw, caw!"
Harak rubbed his head against Wang Ya's hand, fear visible in his blood-red eyes.
The daily nourishment of particle energy had made Harak exceptionally attached to Wang Ya.
Upon entering the supernatural realm, one's intelligence would improve to a certain extent. Yet such a transformation was far from simple, and there was a chance that failure would result in death.
"Little fellow, don't be afraid. No, you should be a Big Guy now. Relax a little."
Wang Ya stroked Harak's head. A physique stronger than that of a Giant Bear Bull pressed against his chest; an ordinary person would have long been knocked to the ground by that force, perhaps even with several broken ribs.
From the moment a Wizard's particle energy was born within the body, it constantly affected the flesh. Guided and controlled by Spiritual Power, it developed in an orderly, beneficial direction.
Catching a fierce tiger barehanded or smashing apart a mortal city gate with one punch were simple matters for a Wizard.
Physical strength had never been a Wizard's weakness.
Wang Ya could easily withstand Harak's immense force.
There was a fundamental difference between enduring a pet's affectionate nuzzling and being subjected to an attacking bite.
Harak was so comfortable under the stroking that he nearly pressed himself into Wang Ya's embrace and chirped happily. He failed to notice that the eyes which had been watching him with a subtle expression suddenly froze.
A needle-like piercing rooted itself deep within his fragile consciousness, bearing fruit and blossoming.
"Caw, caw, caw!" Harak's pupils convulsed. His struggle ended in barely a second, leaving behind deep Scratch Marks on Wang Ya's chest that exposed bone.
A huge tear stretched from his collarbone to the end of his ribs, blood flowing from the wound.
Fortunately, his internal organs had not been injured. To him, it was merely a Superficial Wound that would heal in ten days to half a month.
Slightly worse luck than expected. Wang Ya raised an eyebrow. In the Eye of Truth's calculations, there had been eight possible outcomes for Harak's reaction. Most indicated he would not be injured, with the worst case being some embarrassment.
The Flesh and Blood Tissue beneath Wang Ya's skin rapidly stopped bleeding and scabbed over. The conspicuous scar across his chest made him look somewhat ferocious.
This was one of the benefits of particle energy's influence on the body: it allowed a certain degree of control over bodily metabolism.
"The Seed of Consciousness has completely transformed into a Consciousness Imprint. I can freely control Harak's actions and life or death, and share his vision."
A faint curve rose at the corner of Wang Ya's lips.
Throughout Wizard History, the chance of a Nurtured Creature betraying its master was low, but it did exist.
Wang Ya would not allow any possible accident to occur.
Anything he possessed had to be completely under his control. Caution represented safety.
Chasing Truth was a long process. Many Wizards who fell along the way regretted the smallest mistakes.
The room was a complete mess. The desk and walls were covered in signs of violent destruction.
Harak curled up in a corner, his blood-red pupils fearfully reflecting Wang Ya as he approached.
Wang Ya extended his hand in a stroking gesture. Harak, who had remained on guard, immediately felt an irresistible desire rise within him.
As his master stroked him once more, Harak gradually relaxed. Delight filled his blood-red pupils. The concept of "master" had only just been born within him. The master before him was the person who treated him best in the entire world, and he had to obey his master's commands at all times.
"Go on. Go find food for yourself."
He opened the window. A ray of sunlight broke through a gap in the Cloud Layer, bringing light to the dark world as Harak's figure merged into it.
Supernatural Lifeforms stood at the top of the food chain. Hunting ordinary Sea Beasts was effortless for them.
The salty, damp sea breeze lashed Wang Ya's fair cheeks. "It will be soon, Lusen. I'll try all three methods Wizard Tuta mentioned, one by one."
Holding the Wooden Box, his eyes were deep and unfathomable.
The green-haired girl faintly appeared upon the Phalanx Bone. Only her tranquil face could barely be seen, while her green eyes looked somewhat Stunned.
At the bow, within the shadows, Wizard Tuta quietly watched the Dark Tide rise and fall upon the sea. He then glanced at the supernatural Black Feather Crow soaring through the sky and sighed. "So they've finally been targeted."
They had not managed to shake the pursuer off for half a month. The other party's purpose was clear: they were after the Wizard Ship, with absolute malice.
"I wonder how many of these little ones will be left behind."
He had already released his own aura. The current outcome proved that the one targeting the Wizard Ship was an existence of the same level.
First to Third-level Wizard Apprentice, followed by Limit Wizard Apprentice. His strength belonged to the last category.
As for anything higher... that was another level altogether—the peak of the Pyramid, the lofty Decision Makers.
Wizard Tuta slowly took a bottle of purple liquid shimmering with watery radiance from the sleeve of his black robe. A chill surfaced on his aged, wrinkled face.
He was not yet so old that he could not walk!
"Freshmen, welcome to today's Wizard Exchange Meeting. Rowena will be today's speaker and share his understanding and experience of the Wizard Meditation Method with everyone."
The Wizard Freshmen surrounded the four most talented among them.
A freckled young man with brown hair stepped out. He was Rowena.
"Let's give him a round of applause," Arthur called loudly. Though it was Rowena's experience-sharing session, the center of this unusual stage still seemed to be Arthur.
"I might not explain it very well, so please bear with me," Rowena said shyly.
"We believe in you, Rowena. Your talent is exceptional, so your understanding of the Wizard Meditation Method must be far clearer than ours."
"We're very much looking forward to your experience sharing. Rowena, speak boldly."
The Wizard Freshmen praised and cheered.
Orson, who had purple hair and rather androgynous features, also patted Rowena on the shoulder at the sight.
He said softly, "As one of the four of us, your talent has earned our recognition. These ordinary Freshmen are destined to look up to you, so go up there and speak boldly."
Rowena was pushed to the front. The speech he had prepared over several nights vanished entirely from his mind, and he began to speak haltingly.
The joy, anticipation, and goodwill on every Freshman's face gave Rowena greater encouragement and confidence. His words gradually became smoother.
Wang Ya gave them a few indifferent glances before focusing on the food before him.
The Kindergarten Class teaching the Toddler Class—Couldn't be more fitting.
After breakfast, Wang Ya returned to his room, blue specks of light blooming in his eyes.
This time, the Eye of Truth was examining information that belonged to him.
