"What do you think Rule Power is?" Andersen slowly raised his right hand, holding the Purple Rune in his palm aloft. Violet light shone out, and the faint opening connecting heaven and earth suddenly stretched as high as the sky.

"How could a tiny insect comprehend the boundless sky or the vastness of the stars? You're just as incapable of understanding the heights Rule Power can reach."

"To think your ritual could borrow Rule Power—you were dreaming."

"Besides, I gave you the Book of Illusory Eve. I wrote every word and recorded every piece of knowledge in it. I was also the one who discovered and studied the Wriggling Red God and its nature." Andersen's voice carried a hint of mockery. "Your ideas, your understanding, the methods you rely on—they're riddled with flaws, and I have them all under my control."

"You're nowhere near talented or capable enough to ruin my plans." Andersen sighed. "As a supporting player, you've done all you can. It's time to accept your exit."

Gray said nothing. His gaze remained resolute as he controlled the Wriggling Red God's manifested incarnation. A web of red threads spread across the sky and earth, cutting off Andersen's escape. Many red worms had already burrowed into Andersen's Wizard body, infecting and transforming it.

His skin and blood vessels came alive on their own. Worm mouthparts squeezed out of his pores, hissing.

Andersen glanced down at a flesh-and-blood worm growing from his neck. Its mouthparts turned outward as though shedding skin, revealing a gurgling eyeball within. It stared at him with undisguised malice.

He smiled and blew at the eyeball.

Startled, the worm snapped its mouth shut. Its body writhed, then somehow broke free of the Wizard body and fell into the tide of worms filling the void below.
