The silvery-white tabletop reflected Ryan's calm face. As the Silver Sea Wizard finished speaking, he sensed the three presences in the room besides his own stir to varying degrees.
Even Daylight Wizard, the first to come up with the idea for the "Crimson Celebration," now seemed a little more weighed down.
Images and text appeared across the tabletop, corresponding to one Wizard after another, all mid- to high-ranking members and pillars of the Crimson Academy.
"In the battle at the Death Desert, we lost Venerable Emperor, Aixi, and Nine Heavens. We also lost a host of Radiant Moon Wizards, more than thirty Rank 2 Star Wizards, and hundreds of Rank 1 Wizards." The Silver Sea Wizard stated the facts in an utterly emotionless voice.
"The Academy has lost more than seventy percent of its high-end strength. This means that our remaining forces are no longer enough to maintain absolute control over the vast eastern region of Frost Snow Land."
She paused, her gaze sweeping across everyone present before finally settling on Ryan.
"Now we face two problems. First, how to deal with the power vacuum that will inevitably appear as our influence contracts, and with the counterattack from the high-ranking Wizards lying low in the Uninhabited Zone and Free Zone. Second, how to plan for the Crimson Academy's future."
The Silver Sea Wizard lightly tapped the tabletop again with her long, slender fingers. The crisp sound fixed everyone's attention on her.
"Nightmare Wizard brought the Star Cluster's attention upon our Academy. That is our greatest advantage—and our only one. Therefore, when planning for the future, Nightmare Wizard's opinion must be given the utmost consideration."
"Agreed."
"Fine by me."
Daylight Wizard and the Crimson Spirit weren't surprised.
