He entered the Crimson Academy determined to pass its challenges, defeat Karina the Crystal Wizard, and ultimately compete for first place at the Starry Wars Assembly.

• Ryan ate part of the Pink Jelly Creature and gained one point of Spiritual Power, but the creature died and vanished.
• Venerable Emperor Grand Wizard explained that each wizard could cultivate a Resource Area and revealed that Dreamlike Products could bypass normal advancement limits.
• Ze Tian was erased from existence by the Durian Creature after he failed to resist the Dreamlike Product served to him.
• Venerable Emperor Grand Wizard explained how wizards cultivated Dreamlike Products in the Inner World and noted their possible connection to Rule Power.

Ryan discovered and tested his fifth Nightmare Petal, the Mortal World Corrupting Heaven and Earth Serpent Swarm, and reflected on how difficult the remaining petals would be to create. He stayed near what was said to be the weakest entrance to the Inner World, planning to enter its safer Exploration Zone and gather resources as he pursued a breakthrough to Radiant Moon Wizard.

• Ryan watched Mona Antun direct Black Souls as they cleaned his Ancient Castle.
• Ryan used the Eye of Truth to discern a new Nightmare Petal: a swarm of black serpents threaded with purple light.
• Ryan summoned the Great Annihilation Death Spear from a serpent's mouth and hurled it, erasing everything in its path.

• Fu Anna asked Purple Sand Wizard for permission to pursue the controversy surrounding the Nightmare Wizard, and he told her to act freely within Crimson Academy’s rules.
• Fu Anna left the Pillar of Flowing Sand reassured that she no longer needed to hold back out of concern for Venerable Emperor Grand Wizard.
• Ryan experienced a sudden, unnatural cold and recognized it as a ripple from his metamorphosing Sixth Nightmare Petal, which he named the Black Sun Ice Realm.
• Ryan saw that the Black Sun Ice Realm had reached 28% metamorphosis progress as night fell around the Ancient Castle.

Earth Wizard awoke from a long slumber and, after Black Heart Wizard told him about Nightmare Wizard, attacked her and became fixated on fighting him. Black Heart Wizard escaped and returned to her palace, where she prepared to use the coming Wizard challenges to draw Nightmare Wizard into the conflict.

• A Supernatural Fluctuation awakened Earth Wizard, whose Beastly Instinct erupted and killed every living thing nearby.
• A distant voice acknowledged Earth Wizard’s untimely awakening as a trial, and Black Heart Wizard arrived to speak with him.
• Black Heart Wizard told Earth Wizard that Nightmare Wizard had joined the Crimson Academy and had easily handled multiple High-level Wizards.
• Earth Wizard attacked Black Heart Wizard with a devastating punch, but she escaped as he declared his intent to crush Nightmare Wizard.
• Black Heart Wizard returned to her palace, recalled Earth Wizard’s strength and the danger of his lost reason, then planned to use the Academy’s challenge rules and the approaching Starry Wars Assembly to pressure Nightmare Wizard.

Black Heart Wizard prepared for his sleep, expecting Earth Wizard to test Nightmare Wizard while he was away. Ryan met the Venerable Emperor Grand Wizard in a snowy landscape, where the elder asked about Ryan’s exploration of the Inner World.

• Black Heart Wizard judged that few young wizards could overpower Earth Wizard and hoped Nightmare Wizard could at least seal, restrain, or stall him.

Venerable Emperor let Grand Wizard Zeyuan join Ryan’s assessment, offering the Zeyuan Bright Moon Inheritance as an additional reward. As Zeyuan entered the battle, Ryan struggled against Venerable Emperor’s Split Body and sensed a deadly attack coming from behind.

• Grand Wizard Zeyuan teased Venerable Emperor about his battle intent until Venerable Emperor brought him to watch Ryan’s assessment.
• Zeyuan recognized Ryan as the Nightmare Wizard and asked to join the fight, offering the Zeyuan Bright Moon Inheritance if Ryan passed his assessment.
