The room is fully appointed, but the most striking feature is the massive bronze tub resting against the west wall; inlaid with gold and jade, it is known as the Bronze Basin.
It is shaped with a flared rim, a deep belly, and a ring foot.
The outer wall of the basin is cast with three tiers of patterns: the upper tier features coiled dragons with intertwined heads, set against a background of cloud and thunder motifs.
The middle tier displays interlocking curved patterns, their lines as fluid as rings.
The lower tier is decorated with hanging leaf patterns, filled with simplified beast masks.
The bottom of the basin is inscribed with the words, "Bathing Vessel of Da Liangzao Zhao Cheng," a testament to his status.
To accommodate Zhao Cheng's powerful physique, the vessel was intentionally crafted to be exceptionally large and spacious, as bold and fierce as the man himself.
Beside the tub sits a bronze ladle with a tiger-head motif cast into the handle, used for scooping water or skimming the surface.
Above, a bronze pipe connects to the kitchen on the side; during the bitter winter, the kitchen fires burn day and night, ensuring hot water is available at every moment.
