Until Wentworth returned to his residence, he kept fiddling with that wand in his hand, unable to put it down, waving it about every now and then like a child who had just received a beloved toy.
But upon pushing open his front door, Wentworth discovered that the several elders who had been with Rosier earlier were already waiting for him inside.
Just as Wentworth was taken aback, Rosier closed the door behind him and gestured for him to take a seat.
"Wentworth, since you have already decided to head to Hogwarts, we will no longer stand in your way. However, after discussing it last night, we all agreed that we should provide you with some training before you go."
Once everyone was seated, Rosier got straight to the point with Wentworth.
Wentworth never imagined that after coming to England—or rather, the England of another world—he still couldn't escape the fate of having to attend remedial classes.
But soon, Wentworth felt eager to try; after all, the subject of these remedial classes was magic!
Just as Wentworth was daydreaming about whether he should first learn a duplication spell to help with his homework, an old man beside Rosier spoke up.
"You must understand, Wentworth's safety at Hogwarts is our primary concern. I propose that we should first ensure Wentworth has sufficient self-preservation abilities; I suggest we teach him the Killing Curse first!"
Wentworth stared at the man in front of him with wide eyes, thinking to himself, Since when did the Killing Curse become a spell for self-preservation? Are the Unforgivable Curses really that lacking in prestige?
"Absolutely not, are you joking?"
Before Wentworth could even speak, someone else had already voiced their opposition. Wentworth let out a quiet sigh of relief, thinking that at least there were still some sane people here.
"As the future leader of our Acolytes, does Wentworth really need to take action himself? That would be a disgrace to the Acolytes! Therefore, I propose that Wentworth should first learn the Imperius Curse. If anything comes up, Wentworth only needs to control those puppets to do it for him!"
Wentworth completely lost his temper. Although he still hadn't figured out what this "Acolytes" group these people kept mentioning was, and he didn't dare ask, there was no doubt that these were people even more unscrupulous than Death Eaters.
Wentworth even began to wonder if these people knew any normal magic at all, aside from Unforgivable Curses and Dark Arts.
At this moment, Rosier, who was sitting beside Wentworth, interrupted their argument and asked:
"Wentworth, tell us your thoughts. Is there any magic you are eager to learn? You know, the start of the term is not far off, and we may not have time to teach you much, so what do you want to learn most right now?"
Hearing Rosier's inquiry, Wentworth replied as if he had been prepared for this all along:
"Grandmother Rosier, what I want to learn most right now is Occlumency!"
This was something Wentworth had planned out last night. After all, the place he was going to was called Hogwarts, and the headmaster there was named Dumbledore, an absolute master of Legilimency.
One had to realize that the wizarding world had no concept of privacy rights, and he certainly didn't want to expose the secret that he was a transmigrator.
Upon hearing Wentworth's request, the others present began to whisper among themselves, seemingly debating why Wentworth would want to learn such a spell that offered no help to his combat strength.
"Clap, clap, clap!"
The group's discussion was cut short by the sound of Rosier's applause.
Rosier wore a smile, looking quite satisfied as she said:
"Wentworth, I am gratified, truly gratified. I was worried that you had only inherited the potential and ambition of the Grindelwald Family, but hearing this request, I am certain that, just like the Master, you view us as family. Thank you!"
Wentworth: "???... You're welcome, Grandmother Rosier, it's only what I should do!"
"What, do you still not understand? It seems you have lived in peace for too long! You have all forgotten who you are and what kind of opponents you face!"
Seeing the others still looking blank, Rosier said with some dissatisfaction.
"Don't you realize? Once Wentworth goes to Hogwarts, if that man Dumbledore uses Legilimency to find out our whereabouts from Wentworth's mind, what will he do?"
"You must understand, Wentworth has given up the chance to improve his own strength just to ensure our safety first!"
Hearing Rosier's explanation, the group suddenly realized the truth, and then, everyone looked at Wentworth with a hint of gratitude.
Wentworth could only sit stiffly in his seat, offering an awkward smile.
"That's not all, is it? I just heard that you seem to have a plan in your mind! I am very sorry, Wentworth, I accidentally caught a glimpse of your thoughts just now. I absolutely did not intend to use Legilimency; I withdrew the moment I realized it. Please forgive my rudeness."
An old man sitting on the other side spoke up, and Rosier introduced him to Wentworth:
"This is Abernathy, who once worked at the Magical Congress of the United States of America."
Abernathy nodded at Wentworth with a smile.
"Yes, I do indeed have a so-called plan, but that is..."
Seeing their train of thought veering further and further off course, Wentworth was about to explain, but he was unanimously stopped by Rosier, Abernathy, and the others.
"No, no, you don't need to explain anything, Wentworth! You must understand, you are the future leader of the Acolytes; you don't need to explain anything to anyone! There is only one thing you must do: follow your plan and issue your orders, even to us!"
"As for your plan that cannot be known by Dumbledore, I am not surprised at all. Your ambition is something even your wand can sense. We will always be waiting for your call!"
After stopping Wentworth's explanation, Rosier said to him with deep meaning.
Hearing this, Wentworth silently swallowed the words that had been on the tip of his tongue. Forget it, it doesn't matter. Think whatever you want. I just wanted to slack off peacefully at Hogwarts; why does it sound like I'm about to overthrow the world?
"Then, let us waste no time and begin. Occlumency is no simple spell; it can even be called a magical art. To master it, you need not only talent but also long-term practice. Abernathy, I leave it to you."
Receiving Rosier's instruction, Abernathy stood up, took out his wand, and walked over to Wentworth. Looking at the terrified Wentworth, Abernathy slowly pointed his wand at him.
