"Are you a monster?!"
Flata was completely stunned.
All he could do was roar at Dekan, frozen solid like an ice sculpture.
The last card Dekan had used was a Spell Card that Flata, being a mage himself, knew all too well.
It was expensive, but plenty of mages chose to carry one.
It was a vital emergency card.
[Ice Barrier]
[Type: Spell Card]
[Rarity: Purple Rare]
[Rank: 3]
[Effect: Freezes the user, granting them an icy shield that cannot be broken by attacks below seventh-tier strength for 30 seconds. The user cannot attack, move, or cast spells during this time. After the effect ends, this card cannot be used again for 1 minute.]
[Note: It can also be used as a household spell in summer.]
Dekan had borrowed it from Croix.
He could have bought a copy or made one himself.
But there was no need for that just yet.
The card's market price was around 300 Gold Coins, and buying one outright would have wiped out Dekan's savings.
If he wanted to make one himself, he would first have to spend time studying how it was made.
Besides, Dekan wasn't good at making cards with human magic script. Before he could craft this classic card, designed by an ancient archmage, he would have to make extensive modifications to it.
He still had no idea how to translate the design into Demonic Script, or what new features to add.
If he really wanted to get started, he would need to ask Master for more guidance.
And the materials were expensive, too, so he wasn't in any hurry to make the card.
Instead, he had simply borrowed a ready-made one from his sixth-tier teammate.
Flata clenched both fists, seemingly trying to calm himself down.
In every fight so far,
