Nearly three weeks flew by.
Dekan enjoyed the vibrant life of campus.
His daily routine remained the same: attending classes, making cards, and researching poisons.
Dekan spent most mornings with Cornelia.
Whenever they had a required class, they were practically inseparable.
Unlike before, Croix sometimes joined them for lunch or their afternoon visits to the library.
From time to time, he could even discuss advanced spell-related questions with Dekan.

His class schedule didn't quite line up with Dekan and Cornelia's.

The early morning sunlight filtered through the curtains into Dekan's living room, casting dappled shadows across the floor.
Dekan slept on the sofa with his eyes closed and his brow slightly furrowed. He rolled over and went back to sleep. He'd stayed up too late the night before.
When he and Mie researched poisons together, they tried to wrap things up by ten at night and head home separately.
But every so often, they'd hit a crucial point in their research and lose track of time.
